I play a good bit of Blitz Challenge for fairly small amounts of credits, usually between 100 and 250.  In the last few weeks it seems to have become more and more common to have a player who is on the losing end of a game quit.  This isn't a forfeit just a quit and sometimes sign off with 'enjoy your five minute wait' or 'take 5'.........something childish like that.  You can usually find them still on WGT so it isn't like they got booted.

Is there anyway that we can cut down the 5 minutes to 3 minutes, that is a reasonable amount of time to get back on should you get disconnected.  Also when a player quits but is still on the system, it would seem that WGT could detect this and either force a forfeit.

Since Blitz allows 2 disconnects (I think) before you get forfeited out, I have had times when a player disconnects with a rude warning, you wait 4:45 and then they come back, only to disconnect again and force 5 more minutes of waiting.  There has to be a way to police jerks who do this.  I post on their wall and to their country club owners but there should be a way that WGT helps in this area.

I had a game where someone quit on the final shot; waited until the 5 mins had almost run down then rejoined and quit again! Obviously hoping I would quit in boredom and give them the win...

Looks like proof players purposely disconnect from games rather then their Internet disconnecting them. We just can't convince WGT of this. They believe all disconnects are ISP related, and no one quits that often.

one reason I quit playing anything for credits.  how about this bug?  the host quits game (manual disconnect) then lets the clock run till nearly expired, returns and refuses to hit the tee off button?  Now that's what I call garbage right there.  weak as all get out

Yeah Richard there is not any doubt that these players quit on purpose.  The one in particular I had played 3 times, I had just forgot his name until he pulled the same stunt again and it dawned on me who he was.

The last time he just quit and forced me to wait the five minutes and all the while he showed up as busy and the WGT status.  On a prior game he had quit and came back with 10 seconds left on the clock so it would restart, then off to the tee where he promptly quit again.  I know I get the credits for the match but having to wait 10 minutes because a player is a clown isn't right.

I know the argument is that well people get disconnected and you don't want them to lose their credits but my view is if you are having such bad disconnection problems, you probably shouldn't be playing for credits with multi players, stick to ready goes.

Like to see PIZZA weigh in on this.

People quit so as to not destroy their average. Purely and simply, they're lying to themselves. What they don't realize is that they're the only people they're fooling. Everyone enduring the quit knows that they're pizzy-azzed, titty-sucking, whining, low-IQed babies.

it is so annoying i hate quitters, i also find when someone discons and u come back it can force more discons and have had situations wher it says i have discon 3 times even when i have not. it then makes your tick go yellow which is so annoying, what is the relevance of the the green yellow and have now seen some players with orange tick? and how do you make sure your tick is green. i never quit and my tick occasionally goes yellow. why is this and how do you return it to green?

We'll never beat the low life "quitters", but I have stopped playing randoms and joined a CC, got involved in the tourneys and play alt games with folk I know arent going to quit through being a dick! WGT life is better now and I don't need to hurl abuse on wall posts which get deleted in bulk amongst the other 4 messages from other furious players....

They're dickheads, so i'd suggest reducing play with them......but if you play randoms, you'll meet randoms!!
