  I have suggested this once before and it was greeted with interest from wgt. My suggestion is to have a general chat room before the game is selected. Is there any possibility of this at all?

  the idea is there, but right now, I don't know of any plans to implement it. my general view is that there are much better ways to chat via 3rd party programs than we can implement here.

  Skype works well, or Ventrilo.

  3rd party programs create too many problems, (disconnections, jumpy meter, and complete WGT crash) just to state some of the probs.

  Players give up there game when faced with these problems.

  Wgt also looses money.

  The simple solution would be a skype group chat. It,s free and wgt doesn't have to worry about maintainance and such. Therefore they spend nothing to maintain.

  This may not be a 100% solution but it's cool that it's free. People just don't use them much.

  edit:

  I like C3 voice chat, too. It doesn't use up a lot of CPU, you can edit skins, and it doesn't need a server so you can make dozens of chat rooms and each room you can assign a phone number so people can use their phones w/ speaker if they want to call in without downloading the free C3.

  Outlawed, both legally (T&Cs) and by public opinion.

  You would not want to appear to talk positively about it.

  There are lots of chat rooms on the internet. If you want to chat, visit one of those. Some even have cameras so you can see the people you are chatting with.Perhaps more intimately that is proper for strangers.  I, for one, don't see a need to chat with a bunch of WGT players that I am not playing with at the moment. And my country club has a skype site that can be visited.  For all questions, there is this forum.
