I played Poolmaniac6 (Neil) and came out 3 & 1 winer. Neil had some bad luck on 1st couple of holes but made great saves and I knew I was up against a very fine player, but thanks to much practice and a smooth meter (Ty God) I didnt really give him any room to move once i sneaked 1 up.  We were matching birdies and Neil was very unlucky not to get a great eagle which would have changed the whole game but it wasnt to be!

Good luck Neil in the rest of your games and maybe you will get a 2nd bite at the cherry.  A game played in the finest sportsmanship!

Can I comment the following posts, guys ?

    GLADSTONESCREWER:

Funny how Players, even Top players will result to any kind of tactis to win a Match

I was really looking forward to playing Hanswurst, i even thought i might learn something from him , you won this match Hans i only wish it had been streamed live to everyone,  i wonder if you would have used the same tactics then, call it gamesmanship or whatever but any respect i had for you went out the window in this match, why you continuelly asked me why i do this & why i do that when i was trying to play my shots, funny how it all started when i went 1 up

Well it did put me off & it worked, but if it means that much to you then you can have it

Sorry to Markone for the post about my game

I have now had time to calm down & have spoke with Hans about it

I was angry  but  should wait before i go venting & i must learn to not let people put me off during gameplay

I appreciate all the hardwork that has gone into this Tourny, i must learn how to handle gamesmanship

I normally would not respond to a post like this in any way, but this is VERY attacking against my sportsmanship/fairness so I want to explain the exact way that this match developed.

We started out and everything was fine. I didn't realize the champ greens and hit my first putt way too hard for a solid 90 degree lipout so that we tied the 10th hole with pars. #11 was a nice and solid tie with birdies whilst we both didn't manage to score a birdie at 12 due to poor approaches. At 11 and 12 I watched the same pattern before Gladstone's approach shots, which was putter after about 25 seconds, driver after about 35 seconds and final club after about 40-45 seconds. That made me curious about what the reason behind these club uses was (although I was half sure about the putter one). So I asked about it for the first time at the 12th hole (which is when the match was still a/s). He answered that he uses the putter to judge the green slope which was what i guessed. But he didn't answer about the use of the driver, which was my main point of curiosity. At 13 he hit a lovely approach to 2 yds and my downhill putt got a nasty first feet break and just rolled by the hole. He won the hole. At 14 I answered that i guessed so with the putter but am still curious about the driver. I hit it 3yds past (which is quite an achievement with champ greens) whilst he placed it stone dead. Managed to drop the putt for a tie of birdies. As there was no answer at all, I asked about it one more time, with 2 questionmarks (which might have been offending to him...). I made a lovely birdie which he didn't quite achieve by an unlucky roll-by on his longer putt. Match A/S. At 17 we both hit a too long drive to the rough, I got a more lucky lie though. He suddenly made a 10ft misjudge on his putt leading to a 3-putt bogey that cost the hole. At that moment, he suddenly realized that my asking put him off his game and wrote that in the chat (first answer after hole 12 apart from ns and ty).

I even apologized for it and added that a slight amount of trash talk would have to be allowed in a matchplay like this in case he took it for that. I also apologized for the luckier rough lie and therefor easier 2-putt at 17. Everybody can think of it what he wants now, of course there are always two sides of such a story. I want to win my matches in a fair, honest way and have respect for other players but got to agree that I should have asked those questions after the game.

    Cheers, Hans

I'm really happy for that demonstrations of respective passion on webgolf !

I can't "read" other inside the rows of that two posts.

Congrats to both HansWurst72 and GladStoneScrewer for their (our) passion for the webgolf !!!

Some "excessive" words due to a tough challenge in a tough tourney, I think be the highest "testimony" of a truly great passion.

    That's webgolf !

Maybe a little of spotmanship / fairness can help, but I understand who (having a great passion) say something "more" than what it really is in his heart, without wait to be calm.

    Well.

Are you ready to re-match in the final round? That's not a far hypothesis...

Good luck to both for the subsequent respective matches.

    Go, go, go!

    Hi Marco

Me n Seb tried to play our match just now but my meter was ridiculousy bad..I started with 2 pars and seb had 1 birdie so he is 1 up with that.

On hole 3 after i clicked for my putt the meter didnt stop until an inch after the line so I told Seb i cannot continue. I tried to reboot but it didnt help..so we are sceduled in again for tomorro some time.

Thank you for keep all us noticed, Steven.

    Good luck and have fun.

Congrats to Grinch1277 and good luck for the subsequent matches of both.

Some of you, JF, can send me the scorecard screenshot, please?

I remind that you are not needed to publish nothing nowhere, but at least to take the screenshot(s) and send me it as attachment to a message. In the final part of the tourney, who don't take and send the screenshot(s) will be penalized 4 points each omitted screenshot (see Rules).

Without the screenshot I can't update the Bracket. Thanks.

I must update this post adding a bad new: our dear friend DemCug say me to present to all you its own displeasure because him is forced to abandon this tourney and the webgolf until will be solved a trouble due to an unexpected accident.
