Looks like I'll be playing ranked rounds from now on. having said that, all the other awards I have got haven't been on ranked rounds.
I have only played a few ranked rounds, but I have still got awards in practice mode in stroke play rounds. why doesn't it specify you have to play a ranked round to get the awards?

awards only work in ranked, stroke plays. mp, a/s, practice, and other modes do not count the in the stats/awards.
with that said, there are some specific awards for other modes, such as # of holed out cttp shots.
