As I recall.......when I reached Tour Master (and then, Legend).....the Green speeds have been TOURNAMENT speed. Unless....I play in a WGT or Country Club Tournament...then, each Tournament has a wide variety of Green speeds.
I'm so used to playing on TOURNAMENT Green speeds....that I struggle with slower green speeds now. AND....I still have a TON of improvement to make on Tournament speed greens.
As one member below pointed out.....you can't always TRUST the green speeds. There seems to be some "slight" variations playing the SAME speed on different courses. For example....to me, I think TOURNAMENT speed greens on OLYMPIC play a bit slow....almost like they are actually "VERY FAST". And, that little difference can make you misjudge putts.
If you' play WGT or CC tournaments.....it really is a good idea to play some PRACTICE MODE rounds (where you can select the GREEN SPEED of your choice).....as "Doublemocaman" pointed out in his comment below. Also......BEFORE you make it to the Legend tier....if that's one of your goals...it would be a GOOD idea to go into the PRACTICE MODE and practice your drives from the BLACK TEES (Championship Tees)....as they really are further back from all of the other tees....and more challenging.
I think for almost EVERY WGT MEMBER...........PUTTING is the most difficult aspect of this game (it definitely IS for me)...just takes a TON of practice.....and MANY rounds.
GOOD LUCK!
they ALL definitely play differently........
