I know I read something about "tier" tournaments where players from a certain level and below can play. But have yet to find any.. All the tournaments I've seen are open. So for us lower end players its just a waste of time and credits to play........

There are some for hacks on the tournament page but I'd recommend joining a good country club where you can compete against players of similar abilities for prizes.

All the weekly and monthly tournaments are tiered - check the leaderboards. Most of them are free and don't pay out much.

There are some payed weeklies and monthlies, tiered, too.

Tournaments with reasonable payout (Ready-Gos) start at Pro level.

Alas, inspecting scores and whatnots, the winners seem to be extremely talented ppl or those who have re-started with new accounts. A few of them have advanced in level (not tier) by extreme patience or level boosts and are able to use premium equipment. Rumour has it that some might be illegal multi-accounters.

That said, it might be very difficult to contend there without any of these options.

Could you explain how to set up a CC tournament for Hacks and Amateurs. I set one up, titled No Pros Please. So I got Masters!

I would like to give the new guys a chance.

Set up a speaking title like "Hacks&Amateurs only", announce it in the CC forum, and expect somebody to break in nevertheless.
