WGT Has To Make A "Drop" or "Relief" option

  First of all, you can only take a +6 on each hole, but that's beside the point. There is not a single lie in this game you can't get out of in 2 shots. With even lies, it only takes 1 shot 99% of the time. With unevens you should always be able to get out in 2.

  If you really couldn't get out of the bunker (and this isn't just another of your many posts, full of BackSpin), you were using the wrong club, most likely an iron.

  Don't forget, the bigger a player becomes (pun intended) the more he has the right to advance closer to the flag with every shot! :)

  My granddad used to drive a car like the 1 below. Drove round in it for years he did without ever having an accident. Poor man starved to death in it when he drove it too far in to his garage. Trouble with it was, it didn't have a reverse gear!

  Excuse me, this BMW Isetta had a reverse gear AFAIK.

  Other Kabinenrollers like this Messerschmidt had none:

  In terms of the original discussion.  If you play enough real golf you will find a shot from time to time that you just can not advance forward.  In courses like St Andrews, the bunkers have very steep faces and you can get in a place on the real course where hitting the ball is an adventure.  Being an inch from the front wall on 17 make it difficult to hit the ball with anything but a putter and then you have a difficult time moving it to where you have a shot.

  In WGT land, I have yet to see a bunker shot that can not be advanced to the fairway from the bunker.  There are a few (13th at STA for example) that are very difficult to advance forward but always simple to get out to the fairway.  If the original poster made an 11 because he couldn't get out of the trap (not sure how he got 11 but it doesn't matter), he was not attempting to 'get out' but to advance the ball toward the green.

  @Dazza: I understand, and there were others similar to the Isetta with the door to the front, too, which apparently had no reverse gear :)

  (ty for letting me learn so many "important" things now)

  +11!

  Plus, 11 is the max score on a par 5. Thus the course should have been Best of Famous Back 9, with RSG #14 as the first hole.

  The worst bunker there is the first one in the middle of the fairway. I put my ball into the wall of it but was still able to shoot towards hole with a LW, full shot without bs (even lies).

  Probably Peel P50. I laughed like crazy when I watched Clarkson drive it on Top gear. That car did not have a reverse gear.
