Here are the Bremskloetze with the screenshots of our third round. Result will not be enough to reach the next round, but Alois and me had a lot of fun, and that is what counts. Great tournament, Steven, thank you very very very much !!!

    mnshiner:

Ok, folks team Bremskloetze has just finished playing and I see that Puhlino is busy and has the starters out.

And we had an awesome round (for us), though I'm sure it won't be enough. The front 9 was great, the back was disappointing (considering the front), but Josh played bogey free and I actually did my part in this round. The putter was quite hot (168,44 feet total with 24,2 being the longest).

So, we threw the glove (beat the other semis pairs), had tremendous fun playing the round, but we'll probably still have to wish the best of luck to Hans and Mizzy in the final.

P.S.: And I actually got metered on a 50y approach on 10th, lol (topped it for 10y). Still made par in the end;-)

that was so funny when he topped it i have never seen that happen before, yeah it was great fun thanks for making this competition.

If we had the same back 9 as the front we would have put a crazy score up, so i'm emailing the screen shots now

This game is full of surprises and todays surprise is team The Whinning Pussies moves into the final round in the winners bracket by defeating team Maulwurftoter by 2 strokes.

    Maulwurftoter             65
    The Whinning Pussies 63

So the final round in the winners bracket has team Unbeatables vs. The Whinning Pussies. In the losers bracket there is still one team to play so the results of that bracket is still unknown. Maulwurftoter moves into the losers bracket to join team Uneven Liars with two spots still open in that bracket for the final round.

Here are the screenshots from their round:

The bracket has been updated with the scorecards being viewable from the last matches as soon as possible. I will be sure and post when they are up.

Also Round 4 conditions will be posted early Monday morning.

    Hi Shiner,

Can you explain a little more about the losers bracket? I had kind of assumed that we were now out altogether after a semi-final loss. But it sounds as if there will be four teams still hammering it out in that bracket: does that mean 2 more rounds, and will we still be done by Easter!!!

Would a traditional 3rd place play-off be more economical, distinct from the losers bracket?

    Confusedly, Corwyn

We already know who is playing the final round in the winners bracket so lets get to the Losers bracket. Dang it! It's 3 o'clock in the morning EST and I just lost power again. I'll finish this on my laptop if I have enough battery and post later.

There were 5 teams competing for two spots and the 2 teams out of those 5 moving on are the Birdierabbits and Cuppers. Now that leaves us with 4 teams in the losers bracket going into the final round.
Birdierabbits, Cuppers, Maulwurftoter and Uneven Liars. The team with the lowest score will be declared the winner in this bracket with the second lowest coming in second for the prizes in the bracket. Hope this answers your concern Corwyn. This still ends the tournament on Easter Sunday with all teams getting a chance to play at least twice.

Don't forget not only are you playing for the prizes but also a trophy designed by Darsum going to each of the first and second finishers of each bracket. And in case you missed it when I first posted about this here it is.

All the Round 3 scorecards have been double checked and are now up on the website.

After playing the course and getting some feedback from other players not involved in this tournament the final round will be held at Kiawah Island with the following:
    Course Conditions:
    Mode: Practice
    Hole Location: Hard
    Tees: White
    Greens: Tournament
    Winds: High
    Uneven Lies
The main reason for picking this course was in the two "Tough-it-Outs" it wasn't played so it should be a new experience for all.

hyena64 ( David ) there were no Eagles made in the third round but most birdies were made by Wesdogg75 with 7.

I want to "Thank" all the teams that have participated its just that all the teams couldn't move on in this format.

Wow - great playing through the brackets!

I certainly would have preferred Corwyns proposal which would leave us with less competition in the losers bracket (1), but of course everybody plays on after their first lost match.

    (1) edit: just kidding!

This will be a helluva round!

Furtheron, I like the choice of course - ready to water a few unpayables ;) I'm still reluctant to play UEL there with more precious balls, in fear of unescapable stock reducting situations.

Thank you again for your perfect conduct, Shiner!

    Our lucky mascot.

    The Final.

One has to say it is probably a complete surprise to see us 2 teams in the final.

I never thought for one minute we would get past C & C.

Congratulations to PUHO & Josh in knocking out the german sausages, if that's what their name is,I understand Hans is pretty handy at this.

It's going to be close fought affair, undeniably so.

If you want to spice it up, we can have a side-bet of 500 c's per man.

Jeff ain't here right now so I will discuss it with him when you reply YES/NO

    May the best team win.

Many thanks Shiner for your efforts.

I based my set-up on giving every team a chance of winning a prize.  In my mind I think this is the only fair way to finish the tourney.

It is still early so if you folks have a better way lets hear it.
