CerinoDevoti: Corwyn and I played our final round on Kiawah. Thanks Shiner for the Tourney.
I had an extraordinary time, having played Kiawah a couple of times last few days and not been able to putt to save myself, I found they were going in from all distances today (except a miserable 2ft miss on #4 after this lovely approach). I finished with an astonishing 206.52 total distance made putts (by a long shot my best ever, incl. #9, #13, #14, #17)... but I was utterly abject from tee from green, finding trouble everywhere.
For some reason, it was easier to sink no-hope long bombs for bogies and doubles: no pressure, I guess...
I doubt we'll figure in the final reckoning, but after this endurance test, I'm pretty glad it's all over. Kiawah with unevens and starters is quite the test!!! I'm ready to pack the starters up for a bit, and start thinking ahead to Merion!
Here are my screenshots for the round (I forgot to do 'bag shot' on the fairway, so am including one I took on the tee).
Scorecards and full details sent separately to Shiner (and score is now submitted).
Thanks Shiner for putting on this epic tourney. You certainly saved some good punishment for us at the end!
