    muttsnutts69:

Right Shiner, here is the situation :-

Jeff is away for the Easter weekend with his wife, should be back late on Sunday.

I am organising an Easter Hunt  and will be busy until late Sunday.

We possibly have a small slot vaailable Wednesday or Tursday to do 9 holes, and then hopefully finish it off on Sunday, which will still be early on PST.

So I am asking you and our opponents if we can do this in 2 9 hole rounds, as it is highly improbable either of us will have time for a full 18.

If you play two different 9 hole rounds all I ask is that you guys save and quit. Come back and play the second 9. This would be the only way the scorecards will match this time.

I just played a practice round on Kiawah and the set up is hard as hell. The combo of the high wind, hard pins and the Tourney speed greens is brutal with starters and UL even from the white tees. Shot -1 on 25 putts with no bogies to my amazement. The only birdie I could make was a flop shot into the hole on the par 3 8th hole. It was non-stop saving par and completely maddening.

Good Luck to everyone. We're gonna need it.

It's a lot tougher than any course we have played so far.

Leaves some items to think about for sure...

We practiced for the first time yesterday, in halves. 1st nine brought a bunch of easy(?) birdies, -10 in sight for the whole course. Alas, #10 told us humbleness (how to play GIR from left of the big sand, 150 out?), and so did some of the others. Bogey at #18 was a sad final for a Par back nine.

    CerinoDevoti:
Corwyn and I played our final round on Kiawah. Thanks Shiner for the Tourney.

I had an extraordinary time, having played Kiawah a couple of times last few days and not been able to putt to save myself, I found they were going in from all distances today (except a miserable 2ft miss on #4 after this lovely approach). I finished with an astonishing 206.52 total distance made putts (by a long shot my best ever, incl. #9, #13, #14, #17)... but I was utterly abject from tee from green, finding trouble everywhere.

For some reason, it was easier to sink no-hope long bombs for bogies and doubles: no pressure, I guess...

I doubt we'll figure in the final reckoning, but after this endurance test, I'm pretty glad it's all over. Kiawah with unevens and starters is quite the test!!! I'm ready to pack the starters up for a bit, and start thinking ahead to Merion!

Here are my screenshots for the round (I forgot to do 'bag shot' on the fairway, so am including one I took on the tee).

Scorecards and full details sent separately to Shiner (and score is now submitted).

Thanks Shiner for putting on this epic tourney. You certainly saved some good punishment for us at the end!

Thank you, Corwyn. I actually had two set-ups for this final round. Let us see how the others fair and I'll let you folks know what the other one was.

It's Friday with 5 teams left to play. I should have listened to a certain person and not given all week for practice.

BTW, don't let the screenshots of team Uneven Liars get your hopes up.
