Yes but they is also something called a dedicated server that is in their offices which most likely is not accessible remotely due to security concerns.

It's very unlikely that moderators would need to access the server. I manage to run a forum with moderators in the US, Australia, the UK, India and South Africa with meetings via Skype. If you have a global member base it makes sense to have moderators in different time zones. Anyway I don't want the job, I have one already...

LMAO...work at the wgt head office?

As WGT would not pay for staff travel expenses to get to their office I dont think this comes into the equation,

What it does allow however is control, of what and the moderators can and cannot do/say as I do not believe that there is any autonomy within the role. The answers to most questions are always in the same vain, in fact some days I could swear it was a answering service reply. And again, no disrespect to Icon intended but lackey was an apt description.

If for some reason WGT wanted to take customer service seriously and listen to its customers I still think 2 reps around the globe would work - complications such as remote server access is still possible through encryption. A friend in Australia did work for the US Military via their servers.

As for Europe Alosso and Courteney I think Bavaria and the Isle of Man are perhaps a somewhat smaller geographical region than I envisaged lol but you can fight for the job. Of course both great candidates, but I must admit Courteney would bring a new dimension to some of the slightly odd or silly questions asked.

As for Asia Pacific. well perhaps Chad will come down to photograph Royal Melbourne and decide to take on the task as well - and respond yes, I will add that to the list of must do's only to repeatedly lose the list, and then respond next time the question is asked, great idea, never thought of that, I will add to my................

I am assuming the Moderators get paid for doing this. It seems like people are applying for the job without knowing what the renumeration is for the position.

LOL. I will make an assumption, no cash renumeration but get get a Valentines Ball every day you work or you get paid in peanuts - tough times call for desperate measures, after all the execs need to upkeep the Lamborginis and Mansions.

It seems like people are applying for a job that is only declared a job by "some dude" (no disrespect Hans) on a public forum... I guess anyway no one will get paid anything.

The line up for people who want to relocate to SF to fill a virtual job that pays out in a free sleeve of balls and you get to play a free round after your shift is over must be immense

How hard can it be to cut and paste answers to just about any questions posed to WGT?.
