Hi, how do the more experienced player play these putts which give apparently different breaks depending on which view you use.

The first image has the all the dots up to the hole running right to left or feet to putter.

The second image seemingly has the golfer standing in a different position on the green and the break is running the other way right to left or putter to feet.

As you can see ive had to aim at different sides of the hole depending on the view.

The question is, which one do i go for? Which view/image/break is correct?

Ive had this previously, of course, on every course, on practically every hole in the game and to be honest i'm getting a bit sick of it. There isnt really any excuse for a game such as this to not have a full complement of correct views from the green.

    Please advise. Thanks.

Try using chip as your view. It seems it doesn't lie as much but don't forget to change back to your putter.

The first image is closer to the correct break, as you are looking more directly down the line of the putt. What most people don't realise, is that if you are not getting an exactly straight view of the putt, a component of the upslope or downslope will appear in the sideways break lines. So if you have a straight uphill or downhill putt, but only get a view of it from slightly off straight from opposite sides of the putt, the putt would appear to break opposite ways when in fact it barely does either.

The putting grid is never wrong, strictly speaking, because it pulls from the same database of slope values that your putt does.

There are two things that the player needs to take into account.  The first, as fmagnets pointed out, is that the grid only gives the "true" break when it is perpendicular to the path of the ball.

The 2nd screenshot shows a 12 foot putt that is crossing 14 or 15 inches of the y axis (vertical lines) of the grid.  This is a significant amount - about 10% of the putt's distance.  Imagine that there is no break on that putt at all, and think of what would happen to the dots if you were to tilt the surface to give it more straight upslope or downslope.  If it's upslope, the dots will fall back from the hole to the left, and they'll run toward the hole to the right if it's a downslope.  The steeper the slope, the faster they'll move...but it's still a straight putt.

The second thing to consider is that the grid only tells you the average break across the 2-foot span between y-axis lines.  The top screenshot tells what the break is to the left and to the right of the line, but doesn't really say anything about the line itself.  That's a great place to use Shiner's suggestion - Chip view - where you can move the grid around for a more accurate reading.

It is frustrating that many holes don't have good camera angles.  The new pins on Kia and Congo are especially bad.

I've found that the majority of putts will run either parallel, perpendicular or diagonally through the grid.

This putt runs parallel with the next parallel grid line, which happens to be my putt line, it also disects the corner of a 'square', i;ve found this is the same with all putts if viewed from either angle, and the correct pace is the key! As the saying goes never up, never in!!

Your front view putt shows the putt line going through the corner of a square on the grid close to you and close to the hole as well.
