    ready goes sometimes..

every single hole i had a 17 - 18 mph head wind apart from the 7 th which i got a 15 mph side wind ..

    thanks for that .

i just knew there was no point posting as there would be a 26 at least on the leaderboard.

1st hole 18 mph head wind ...ok par take that.

2nd 18 mph head wind ok birdie chance easy.

3rd hole 16 mph headwind , right now getting miffed.

4th hole 17 mph headwind ffs ok birdie

5th hole 18 headwind omg ffs

6th hole 17 headwind laughing to myself

reading this i have no probs with wind but 1 cant shoot silly scores with this disadvantage .

its not the 1st time either and just a rant :)

does everyone get the same wind in ready go's as i am new to them ?

    :)

Just about all my Cabo RG's are like that...just have to stay tough...good thing is it get's you to know your clubs...what spin/no spin works for you.

Seems scores balloon when I get frustrated...i/e "shoot, no chance at eagle here"...it goes sour...stay tough and say...okay..."should be able to punch a wedge close for bird"

its not just ready gos...i played a 9 hole practice on front 9 of Congressional and i think i hit into the wind 8 out of 9 holes.  Some were side with just a bit of head wind, but still head wind overall.  Granted i know nothing about the layout of Congressional to know if this is possible or not, just saying that I experienced as well, outside a ready go.

I just tell myself I can hold the greens better into the wind with the 3 irons and 3 woods I'll need to reach. :)

That's tough going at Cabo Mick with headwinds at the start. Tailwind on 2,3 & 4 and you could be talking 3 eagles on the bounce. I've been -7 through the 1st 4 there on a few occasions and it certainly sets you up for a win as it doesn't really matter what wind you get on the other 5 holes as they're all birdie chances no matter what.

yes daz thats why i felt hard done by at the time plus it was the 3rd time in a row i had the same wind

    on every hole lol

just 1 of them things i suppose but very frustrating when you know how low the score could be if i got alittle more good fortune.

    thanks for the replies

    :)

This is one of the main reasons I shy away from the heavy wind RGs.  If I knew that everyone else in the field was playing the exact same wind set then it wouldn't bother me at all.
