A guy called H went to the doctor recently. After examination, the doctor announced good news and bad news.

"Bad news is, you have heavy Alzheimer dementia. Good news is, you won't know when you're back home!"

    dear henry ,

I'm in a dilemma. I put a washing on and then discovered an odd sock that was meant to be in the load as well. Do I wash both socks, meaning sock # 1 will be washed twice? Do I hang dirty sock # 2 up and wear it twice? Should I wash sock # 2 and leave sock #1

Nope, here's the thing. People need to pay attention. There are waaaaay too many slackers. Cleaning up after the fact, and machines that allow it, just continue a downward trend in personal accountability. All this does is elevate the ignorants' status, when it should be based on performance,

There's my rant, I had much more, but, my puter decided to have a mind of it's own, an' I'm too lazy to retype it all

    Doc :)

This may not relate to your problem in any way but...

After years of forum posting I just recently discovered what to do when you've typed a long post and mess it up.

Right click and then undo brings it all back!

I was pleased to find this out but really I feel dumb because I should have known this a long long time ago.

Of course that's relevant Paul, though sadly, I'll probably forget. Then again, it's probably for the better, as I'm likely to bore the pants off everyone if I continue some of my rants.

    Good advice Nutzy.

    Doc :)

    Talk about feeling dumb!

When I got my 1st computer and would see something like instructions, a description, or something of interest, I would type it out verbatim on a notepad and save it...

Now considering that I typed with 2 fingers(since have advanced to 3 fingers and a thumb) and it took 2 years, you can only imagine how happy I was to find out about the "copy and paste" feature!

The only time I ever spoke of this was in the mid to late '90's when on a "Satellite" forum I expressed my utter joy about finding this new feature like a kid on Christmas morning and the only responses were along the line of "Are you f'n kidding, I didn't think anybody could possibly be that stupid"!!!!

Everyone is naive in some areas. Topics we just don't know much about. But, being naïve may provide the ability to push through the hard times. The realists may give up upon discouragement, but the naïve optimists will push on gritting their teeth. Knowing the probable end game changes nothing. Doing the best they can for themselves and others is the only task worthy of their attention. Who is anyone to argue against the sublime nobleness found in naivety?
