I just talked to Dad.  He remembers telling me  you can do it, no slack, keep him tight. Oh my God, what memories. Fishing the streams in the McKean County Mountains. Lots of Rainbows, and Brookies. Very rarely a big brown. I still have my creel and basket, Oh my goodness. The old vests, Dads and mine are hanging in Dads den. Crying again.

andyson, if you were here in front of me, I'd give you the biggest hug I could muster!  Thank you, thank you and it's incredible!  Thank you!  btw, where did you find this pic at?

LOL, I'll take a rain check on the hug!  The Thanks is enough!!  You're welcome.

As far as finding the pic?  I found it on Google Earth.

Go to your GPS coords on Google Earth.  On the left hand side of GE there's a panel called Layers.  Inside that panel is a check box called Photos.  Check that box and GE now shows small icons of photos.  If you click on one of the small icons the photo pops up.  Here's zoomed out screenshot of Google Earth showing all the photo icons and the yellow pin icon of your camp site coordinates. Click on the image for a larger image.

OK, here's a zoomed in screenshot of the campground with two tiny photo icons highlighted.  Its named Dinner Station campground.

That's the Taylor River to the left of the camp.

    Hi everyone,

I'm Karl from Essex England, although i'm currently living in Derbyshire.

I am 45 yrs young, married (2nd attempt) for 12 yrs this coming St.Valentines day.

I have a son from my previous marriage who is now 22yrs young and about to dip his toes into the wonderful world of parenthood.

Almost 12 yrs ago (14th February 2003) my son , who was 10yrs at the time honoured  me by being my best man at my amazing wedding to my incredible wife.

I have led a very colourful and somewhat charmed life, which has given me the grounding and life education which serves me now.

I am proud to call myself a true gentleman and believe that you always treat people with respect, courtesy, consideration and above all show impeccable manners.

My past is my education, my future is my unknown, my experiences have taught me just how fragile life is. I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason" and as a result i have learned to look at the positives even in the darkest of places.

You never stop learning, never stop evolving and developing as a human being. Cherish who you are and appreciate the impact your words, actions, beliefs and ways have on those you share your life with.

    A little about me:-

After leaving school at 16 with 8 O Levels i spent 2 yrs as an assistant professional golfer.

My first experience of golf was at the age of 12 , when i found my brothers "borrowed" lol 7iron hidden under the stairs along with a couple of Dunlop 65's which were almost completely smooth and had more resemblance  with an egg .

I have always been self taught and seemed to have a little bit of natural ability.

At 16 i was playing offa handicap of 3 and decided to give it a go, things progressed promisingly until one cold night in February 1987.

A night out in East London with a few friends ended up with me laying on a hospital bed with a stab wound to my thigh and a shattered knee cap courtesy of a aluminium baseball bat and 6 lads who were "just out looking for a bit of trouble"

My application to the R&A to apply for my PGA card had been submitted 3 weeks earlier.

Fate had dealt me a hand which resulted in me not fulfilling a career as a professional golfer.

My recuperation involved extensive physiotherapy which introduced me to the "Gym".

My physique, power, strength and weight increased immensely, it was like a drug and i started to powerlift silly weights although my knee was always my week point.

I quickly became involved in the 80's Rave scene which stoked up my passion for House, Trance and rare groove music.

I was now doing security or as it was called back in the day "bouncer".

Loved every minute of it, met some incredible people and witnessed some unbelievable things, however i also "lost an incredible friend in horrific circumstances"

    RIP TT fond memories mate.

Anyway i was trying to keep this short so i have no doubt bored the pants off you lot.

Life is good, looking for a project to get my teeth into, adore my wife and son and our 2 fur babies. (boxer dogs) lol.

    Peace and respect

    Karl

Nice Job Karl ! You sound like a terrific, rare, true Gentleman, and as an added charm, you sound like tough, rough & tumble dude that enjoys a good go at it, whenever "it" comes your way....;-}    RAVE ON !!
