    opyeuclid:

    Sir .

This thread got many of the Real players to post .

And that was something Special .

I agree with Opy...this thread is 77 pages long...granted, some of the posts are by repeat members, or a bit off topic etc, but generally, keeping a thread like this alive for 77 pages is fairly remarkable....I would suggest a glass half full approach here.

    Reply to your unpleasant entry.

Started playing in 2009, original player? don't know, but been here a long time.

Thousands of forum posts, no less than 2,000.

Not honest, nothing in evidence to prove I am not.  Only your twisted logic says so.

Simple story,  in my case it would not be.

Full of $hit.  perhaps sometimes, then mother nature steps in to correct it.

A blow hard, only when required.

You renniw52 have presumed way to much and in this case as in some other posts you have made, you have allowed your lack of reasonable sense over load your ability to express yourself coherently.

To respond as to why I never participated in this thread (more like a hang mans rope) is because this is considered a public forum and I do not want to expose my life and the way I live it to just anyone who reads this thread.

This should answer any and all questions and suppositions you posted.

For your gratification (?), I will cease reading this thread.  MY NICKLE.....

Lee...I have read posts by Rich in several threads. in some (like this one), he often makes harsh, sweeping generalizations about those who post, thus minimizing the "success" of his original question. in other threads, he's disappointed that people are being too critical, and recommends they raise a glass and sing Kumbaya.

I will leave the apparent contradicitions at that.

I like your analogy to the Hangman's noose....(along with some others)  I was throttled in parts of this thread.  I did enjoy reading much of it though..:)

    Sun's out at last .

    Par 4, 380 Yards, Hole 1.

I tee up, pick the driver, and aim to the left for the inevitable slice. But not too much just incase i might actually hit it straight. I swing, hit, and the ball soars beautifully with just a slight fade, landing somewhere over the ridge that's on the fairway.

I find the ball, 270-280 yards from the tee, in the middle of the fairway. A perfect drive. Ecstatic, i pull out a sandwedge for a smooth 100 yard approach, with the flag just sitting there in the middle of the green. Nothing in my way but fairway. I swing, shank the ball far left out of bounds in some bushes. Stunned, i stand there, just looking at that easy par slipping away. I take out another ball and drop it where i hit the shank. I top this one, over the green, stopping in the high rough. I chip, and then two putt. Triple Bogey.

Fu ck you Golf, i Love You.

According to a quick google search, this is what Grimsby GC, Lincolnshire, tweeted today:

Course open with 18 holes. We have temporary greens due to frost, no trolleys. Beautiful crisp morning.

    True.

I had the same luck last week, two days of bright weather, nice old lads' round on Thursday, then snow from Friday.

We have temporary, "Wintergrüns" from December, no play in frost or with snow, and I take only one club - easier, lighter, and warmer fingers. It's a fun walk & chat, nine holes in 5/4 hours, followed by a fine noon pint.

    Priceless!

Canucks pride themselves on Hockey, poutine, manly beer, (and now the gold medal in whiskey) and proper winters...none of which can be found in those two states...(I do not recognize the Florida Panthers as a legitimate hockey team)
