it was a joke steve.
the only serious thing I see in all this is how seriously silly it is to think wgt needs proof to do anything. does proof compel them to do something? I think no is the answer to both.
it's seriously funny to me that all this talk of personal rights and corporate responsibility really doesn't mean a damn thing.
blue in the face.
this aint life....this aint a country full of laws...these are characters in a game......no one is getting hurt.....just ripped off of meaningless credits. If it were all that legal stuff full of rights and what not......then this stuff wouldn't happen. turns out......they're just words on some pseudo-legal document with a box you can check. don't mean squat for your rights to be protected from cheaters or the rights of the accused.......just the right to forfeit them
I'd like to sit in on the comedic waste of time a trial or court settlement regarding a gamer getting a boot from a game without a signed confession ........that too was a joke
i say all this cuz i like this game and don't want it to fade away. nothing will kill it faster than all of this credit jacking of folks who buy cred's with real money. Multi accounters will drive away new blood (and old).and sustainable income......long term.
If there's all this burden of proof mumbo-jumbo then that'll never happen. What is the bigger risk? doing nothing for lack of stone cold rock solid locked on proof or doing something under seriously suspicious and habitual activity that harms other users and getting it wrong once in a while?
wgt knows this, no doubt.
