    I'm glad that you agree.

    PUHOLINO:
Although, I think we all agree that in the case of this prolific m/a we're currently discussing, the evidence is clear and overwhelming enough to be able to present things not only as accusations, but as proven facts.
This may or may not be correct - I'm not able to recognize it. So, while I have no reason to doubt your words, it's not possible for me to agree.

I'm glad that you must not prove any accusations of multiaccounting in public - see my previous post. And please NO PMs - I'm not a judge in this case.

The good way is to mail the evidence to WGT.

I'd actually be happy if I had to prove in this case. But I see your point. And don't worry, I only wall people (or PM) if they ask for the info (I walled you once when you expressed the desire of knowing the identity of the shadow's significant other, albeit that desire wasn't directed at me). I tend to shy away from doing this when it's unsolicited (might slip once or twice though ,-).

The burden lies with the accuser, in most developed countries presumption of innocence is standard.

Contrary to popular belief, even in the rare few countries that might be defined as guilty till proven innocent, the hurdles that must be climbed to make the accusation in the first place is far greater than the presumption of innocence countries.

Further to this, and just as an interesting tidbit, most countries that are guilty till proven innocent require multiple eye witnesses as it is recognized throughout the world, with the exception of 1 big one in the west, that eye witness testimony is completely unreliable.

    it was a joke steve.

the only serious thing I see in all this is how seriously silly it is to think wgt needs proof to do anything.  does proof compel them to do something?  I think no is the answer to both.

it's seriously funny to me that all this talk of personal rights and corporate responsibility really doesn't mean a damn thing.

    blue in the face.

this aint life....this aint a country full of laws...these are characters in a game......no one is getting hurt.....just ripped off of meaningless credits.    If it were all that legal stuff full of rights and what not......then this stuff wouldn't happen.  turns out......they're just words on some pseudo-legal document with a box you can check.  don't mean squat for your rights to be protected from cheaters or the rights of the accused.......just the right to forfeit them

I'd like to sit in on the comedic waste of time a trial or court settlement regarding a gamer getting a boot from a game without a signed confession ........that too was a joke

i say all this cuz i like this game and don't want it to fade away.   nothing will kill it faster than all of this credit jacking of folks who buy cred's with real money.  Multi accounters will drive away new blood (and old).and sustainable income......long term.

If there's all this burden of proof mumbo-jumbo then that'll never happen.   What is the bigger risk?  doing nothing for lack of stone cold rock solid locked on proof or doing something under seriously suspicious and habitual activity that harms other users and getting it wrong once in a while?

    wgt knows this, no doubt.

MAC address, hard drive signatures, all very easy ways to prevent multi-accounting.

Using a proxy to get around that isnt going to be favourable for the game play either.

However, as has been said , it is not in WGT's best interests to dent their revenue stream in any way.
