Haven't played in months, updated Flash and Chrome, and the meter is skipping. I've taken steps to lower the detail quality but there is no change. When I swing, I force myself to swing early to even have the ability to get the perfect 'ding'. Otherwise when I do click at the perfect spot, it ends up late and the ball slices.

Glad that you described your software!

    1) Enter about:plugins and disable Pepperflash.

    2) Hope that it works.

Abandoning Chrome is the easiest way.

What do you recommend? Firefox, Safari, Opera? Other? I love Chrome but don't love this interrupted meter. Mind you, months ago, I had absolutely no issue.

If possible, you might disable the second PepperFlash entry.
Rare reports said that Pepper is better than Shockwave - try!
First priority will be to have only one Flash active.
    Good luck!

If using Chrome the auto update uses a very high percentage of cpu.  I don't use it for playing, but use it for survey's.  I checked the detail of the high usage warning I got about Chrome last night from my Norton Internet Security.  It said Chrome was using 90% of 1 of my cpu's!  That's asking for meter problems.....

Using Chrome and Norton is like having a death wish. I wouldn't touch either.

Clean your computer from RAM robbing and CPU killing software for better performance. Free

    PC Decrapifier

This program scans your computer for programs that are commonly installed on new computers, otherwise known as crapware, and allows you to easily remove them. In order to generate additional revenue, many manufacturers preinstall 3rd party programs on new computers. These programs use up hard drive space and consume memory and CPU resources. This causes your computer to not operate as fast as it should be.

This is where a program like PC Decrapifier comes to the rescue. PC Decrapifier will scan your computer for common preinstalled programs and other products that are considered crapware. You then have the ability to select the programs you wish to uninstall and with the click of a button automatically uninstall them.
