Avg. Distance: Displays the average distance the ball will travel when hit at full strength on a flat surface and with no wind.
Wind direction/speed, elevation difference between point where ball is struck and where it lands, landing point slope, fairway/rough/green, stroke length, dinged or not dinged stroke, are all factors that affect shot distance.
You also have to consider golf ball characteristics, because that also effects the actual distance.
In other words, the distances a club is rated at can only be an approximation,
