Probably WGT should make more tournaments with equipment prizes instead of credits, especially aimed at players that are levels below the prize... and tier specific. There are Legends that lose interest in the game after tiering up too fast and being forced to use equipment that is no longer as competitive. They played Ready Gos or other tournaments and made some credits, now they are almost useless and feel they were punished instead of rewarded.

Maybe there are not many in the whole lot, but throwing a tournament for say Legends under Level 82 at a reasonable entry fee and letting them compete for a Level 98 R1  or R11s would bring hope again to those disheartened by the sudden move that put them at a disadvantage. After all, those didn't choose to sandbag like others that have the best equipment to prey on others.  It doesn't have to be with 50 players like RGs. Don't you agree?

I don't really. Giving them clubs above their level is a slap in the face to the other Legends. At any point of one's WGT career( if we can all it that) we have to master the clubs that we have. Pining for clubs above our level makes us stop working at the mastery and start looking for excuses. I'm still working on mastering my L83 G20's as a L93  Legend. When I think I can't possibly play any better unless I spend up to better sticks I'll do it. Right now, I can't see that happening in under a couple of years.

Also, those expericene points that guide the level mean something . They're called "Experience Points" for a reason. We all have to take the beatings to get to where we want to be. The players with the highest level clubs took the beatings. There shouldn't be a short cut for anyone.

Good on you for sticking with it, I see you are lvl 72, lvl 79 brings some irons that will allow you to compete again. The 3 and 4 iron will stop and I know for a fact the lvl 81 driver is very good and will take you to lvl 90 and the r11 irons along the way the r11 driver and 3 wood will open up as well, where you can expect your gr8 scores to return and get some of those credits back.

You made legend very quick, congratulations to that!
However, I do think you are in minority, not many become legends before level 80 and there you have the equipment necessary to beat the best. The RocketBladez lvl 79 are not far off the R11's and the G20 driver at level 81 is not far off the R11S.

I think the problem with the suggestion of "winning higher level equipment", apart from that only low level players would like it, is that the game would simply not let you play with them even if you somehow managed to own them. Changing the game to allow for such construction would not be trivial and.

I don't know how long you have been a legend, but you'll get used to it :)

Unless you pay for it :)

or as I said in a post from a couple days ago make the level up boosts go to level 100 or so, from L80-90 1000 credits per level, from L90-100 1500 or 2000 credits per level. This would allow players like me who don't get to play everyday the opportunity to purchase the higher level equipment. I've been at 89 for what seems like a year now and am almost to 90 and will finally be able to purchase the r11 irons. I'm sure this would make a lot of the higher level legends/tour legends angry because they had to work so hard to get to where they are now which is understandable. But this would give lower level legends a chance to get to higher levels and purchase better gear for a lot of credits, make it happen WGT.

This is interesting. Classic pining for the upper equipment and looking for a short cut instead of mastery of the equipment one has at the time.

Agreed L79 Bladez let you start competing again and if you really wanted the G20 is not bad.  Not saying it's ideal to play a TM with L94 Rs and R11 irons but kind of brings some of the enjoyment back..................Legend is an area that WGT need to seriously focus on.......

    Cheers
