In the real world, I can buy any driver I want.

Faterson is right, there should be no tier discrimination when it comes to buying golf clubs.  I don't understand the purpose of it, honestly, it has makes no sense. ...it's pretty fake.

In real life I am a 9 hancicap but I can certainly buy any driver if I put up the money.

WGT: I really think this needs to change.

simple: with latest driver, you can drive few greens on kiwaya. on bp #2, u will land in rough 100% of of the time.

also, from the tee's non masters hit off, u will almost always end up with the wedges.

you will actually not learn the game, for when you long clubs you are often forced to put  20+ footers or chip/pitch/flop from upclose, thus learn the game

if you containly hit precise wedges, inside 10ft, then it's not really a golf course but a mini golf course, for there is no course management.

just look at the old BP chamption qualifier, MOST people couldn't get under 2 par, why? 3 reasons:

    1. they couldn't drive straight

    2. they couldn't manage the course (ie hit 2nd shot where you need to,so u can hit 3rd close)

    3. cannot putt anything outside 10ft

many, if not most masters, have played for while (except for few 'superstars'), so they have dealt with the course, when it was at it's meanest!

in conclusion, if your goal is to shoot 50's without much effort, then perhaps this isn't your game.

p.s if you ever get a chance to see how real players, doesn't matter what tee's they hit from, it's NEVER just hit as close and go at it.

(awaits for faterson to write some obnoxious comeback that only he understands and then snaike making fun of it)

The "lady" doth protest too much.    Anyone else feel like ganging up?

Sorry, Iconian.. there's nothing there to make fun of...  But, as I read your post, I didn't find any protestations... so for the life of me, I can't see where Sr. Quixote would think you're protesting.

Maybe it's because I am tired and my reading comprehension is a bit off today...

    Or not.

If you say someone's obnoxious, there must be something you mind about their posts. I wish Iconian were more specific in her, I mean in his disdain.    But, let's just forget it all because it's outrageously .

Faterson.. I am a bit concerned about your apparent fascination with Iconian's profile icon.  Please don't take this wrong, it is not an attempt at humor, but an honest question:  Are there deep-seated transgender issues in your psyche?

Please look around you, here in this virtual world we call WGT.  The percentage of players who represent something other than the standard male/female icons is staggering.  Even you, yourself, present your icon as something you're not.  (We've seen your webpages and pictures therein, and your icon is not your picture.)  My icon is a snake, a green cobra to be exact... do you think, even for a moment that THAT is what I look like??

We realize that it is your wont to attempt to humiliate and embarrass individuals with differing opinions.  We can accept that as no one is perfect.. but if Iconian's picture is all you have to use to try to rebuke him then you, sir, need some professional help.  I would suggest PFLAG.  They do fantastic work.

This post was NOT an attempt at humor.  Diversity and Education are the cornerstone of any bridge to the future.

    Snaike:
I am a bit concerned about your apparent fascination with Iconian's profile icon.

Appearances deceive you. I don't care about this player's gender; I permitted myself to ask once why (s)he chose to select the opposite gender. The reason I asked, someone had told me before in one of the forum threads, "There are great lady golfers on this site. Ncviz and Iconian would sweep the course with you if you played them!" The avatar has been misleading for some.

It was, nevertheless, Iconian who started making repeated references to his/her “butt” & speculating whether observing its shape might be pleasurable for his/her fellow players. I have refused to contribute to such debates because they are ferociously .

    Snaike:
(We've seen your webpages and pictures therein, and your icon is not your picture.)

You must be confusing me with someone else. I've never presented my webpages on WGT, let alone my pictures. Heaven forbid!

    Faterson:
    ...(s)he ... his/her .... his/her ....
You know Iconian is male yet you continue to denigrate his choice of avatars, even in your transparent 'reasoning'.

To quote that great American philosopher, Buzz Lightyear:

"You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity."

And you're right, you have never presented your webpages here on WGT... but 3 mouseclicks is all it takes to find a reasonable facsimile.   Salud!

Politically correct & polite use of neutral pronouns = "denigrating"?
