WTG is a game with certain associated costs if you want to elevate your level of play and keep up with many others. It's frustrating and demoralizing to me to have a new ball go o.b. or in the water and lose over $1.  Yeah, I know, but this is a game, not real life, and the balls in this game already have a 'life' meter on them so you're going to be buying new balls at some point, anyway. When you go ob because the swing meter decides to act up, it's not your fault but you lose the ball, anyway. I'd like to see players maintain use of their balls until the life meter on them expires. Keep the game fun and affordable.

In a practice round on the back nine of Bethpage, I lost a newer ball that flew the green, down a hill and into deep weeds. I was not permitted to play the ball from where it came to rest, was penalized a stroke and lost the ball. This was a practice round for goodness sake. The Callaways I play cost $1.08/ea. I'll have to start playing the 'unlimited' WGT balls if the current Lost Ball policy continues. It's a great virtual golf game and I don't mind costs as I progress through the Levels, but I don't want to be 'nickeled and dimed' to death. It really takes away from the joy of play WGT golf.

I gave up on them fancy balls , It hurts when one goes away like that , I went to the WGT GI3-S ,, Three for .99 credits , My buddies might out drive me But , they also take the chance of over driving or finding trouble , And how many times have I seen them take that big shot over the water with a hit and hope for bird only to miss hit and then get mad , At the same time I lay up with the long iron and give my self a wedge shot taking the water out of play . And when I win a game with my lower level clubs and cheap balls it makes that win that much better cause I know that I played a better game than them . And they have to pay for the drinks at the clubhouse .

My Father told me something when I was young ,   You dont need the best clubs and fancy balls to score and win with the game of Golf .

I complained to WGT about the very same thing over a week ago......... they acknowledged receipt of my mail but i am yet to receive a reply offering any justification or reasoning. losing interest in the game and respect for these people.. I thought a reply would have at least been  forthcoming.....

I totally agree with your dad, however, let me point out the obvious... it doesn't hurt to have them either.  I have to admit, this is a great site especially for the money… since it’s free.  I know how much money it takes to build a site like this, I have worked with those teams on other big projects and I have to take my hat off to the team who wrote the code for this site, and I also like the fact that if you can’t buy equipment (balls etc.) you can play with the free equipment all you want, plus they give you an opportunity to earn the bought equipment...  AND, just like in reality, if you go into a water hazard and lose your ball accept it as part of the game.  I played with the free balls long enough to not hit the ball into water.  You just can’t get a better deal anywhere.

For 180 credits a sleeve, you can play the srixon 11+ balls. When I hit one in the water, I still get mad , but I just chalk it up to the game. So you have a choice in the matter. You can play the 325 credit Callys , or you can play a cheaper priced ball. Give them a try and see how they play . You really wont be disappointed. Hope this helps . Happy Swinging

I used to lose many but since I know the game better and have my computer optimized and maintained properly for this site I can honestly say I have lost 3 balls in the last month and 2 of those were 'Risk Reward' shots..
