Inconsistant distancs with new irons.

    All properly hit golf shots have backspin, even with drivers. One has to top the ball to achieve topspin, and no one wants that. The relevant question is, "How much backspin."

    Except, of course, your putter which would naturally have topspin.   Such a wonderful game.  Everything is covered.

    No! Most butters have a couple degrees loft on them (real life, lol; WGT who knows?). Therefore the first few % of total putting distance is airborne.
