i am new to WGT and i find the putting part the hardest. Is there any tips as to how much of a borrow / aim you add to your putt either left to right or vice versa as a rule of thumb.

There are a couple of sticky threads above this one that may help. But the only real answer is to practice and take notes.

One of the things that helped me immediately is to always line my putt up from the reverse angle. And putt from the reverse angle as well.  I get a way better read that way and get to see the ball react to the green around the hole so if I miss, I have an idea how the ball will react on the following putt.

I use the reverse angle a lot as well.  However I always putt from whichever angle shows the golfer's feet lined up aiming at the hole.  Probably just a personal thing but I can read that better.
