    goldeena:
It's all very well to be smug about it Jim, especially when you have played on the Champ greens 50,000 times like you no doubt (and are finacially secure from the thousands of bucks you already got stacked up there)

Nothing smug going on here, just a little realism. You see, I know my clubs and putter but more than that, I know my limitations. I know Championship greens because I know my putter, not because I've played 1000s of rounds on them, which I haven't. And I have exactly 1634 credits in my account.

If your rants are tongue-in-cheek, they're getting old. If they're real, they're very unbecoming. The infectious enthusiasm you initially brought to these forums when you discovered the game and its intricacies has morphed into something quite obnoxious, IMO. You're beginning to sound like a petulant child (hence the stamp question) that pitches a fit when something doesn't go your way and it's getting tedious.

Either accept the game the way it is or go find something else to do. Either go back to your delightful former self or let the game destroy that-your call. Above all, start accepting responsibility for your game and quit looking for others to blame. If you can't afford the equipment I am sorry for you. There are plenty of others in the same boat yet you don't see them crying about it here. If you want to run with the big dogs, suck it up and learn how. Otherwise, stay home under the porch.

I understand what Deena is saying , and to that point , I too agree. Also I do agree , that it could be said in a better manner . To say it in such an obnoxious , and disrespectful manner, truly is not lady like, and very unbecoming . For whatever settings that players have to play under , we should have those options in the practice settings , this also includes , the no wind setting . This would be a good thing for WGT , as it would increase ball usage, which increases ball sales . So this is something that WGT should consider , as it wont hurt the game at all . @ Deena , I have enjoyed most of your past inputs to the forums , and like your bubbly attitude , and wonderful sense of humor . Please dont stop being the wonderful person that I`ve come to know , or the lady that you have always been . Happy Swinging . (:-)

I agree with Deena re: having the option to practice on Championship Greens just because we know they're out there and it would be nice to use them if we chose to do so. Having said that, I never get upset about any resource I don't have. It's out of my control so I only concern myself with the resources I do have available and try to make the best. The RG's and wagering in general I never take part in so my only comment would be they're optional and at the discretion of the player. Wagering involves risk of loss or gain and it's the players choice to take a risk. All that comes with that can't be complained about after the fact. Free will and all that suss.

No comment re: style of posting by anyone. If I ever have a specific problem or find myself offended, I just report the post and forget it. Again, it's out of my direct control anyway.

Just a general comment for anyone finding playing here to be more chore than joy:

Fun is the best thing to have so seek it and gather it to yourself.

    :)

I have to watch Ruffles videos for ball money.  Fortunately my balls are 64 a sleeve - and I whine about them costing that much.

I get a little disheartened when I match against all these guys with their R1s and Nikes and max-spins - and I'm using garage sale clubs.  On the other hand, when I win (and it's not unheard of), it's a sweeter victory.

I do not play RG's and I am not a TL yet either but hopefully I'll get there but in the mean time I would like the option of Championship Greens in the Best of Putting CTTH for practice so if and when I make TL I will have an idea of how to play them as putting is the majority of strokes. Learning the roll out on approaches should not be quite as difficult as putting. Pitching & Chipping will be enough of a tough learning challenge.

I learned to play on Champ greens way before I was a TL, I would play TL's as much as possible to get to know Champ greens so when I did become a TL it wasnt such a shock to the system.
