How is this determined?  I am now under 72 which I thought would be the magic number.  Do they go by number of rounds or the amount you have spent in the pro shop?  Thanks for the info.

I think it's 65. Start saving your money.

Kuterp, the Master magic number is somewhere around 64. Ranked rounds, or money spent has nothing to do with advancing tiers. It would be wise my friend to record all your rounds including the bad ones, and gain valuable course experience.

Once you make Master, there's no turning back. Play some practice rounds from the blue tees with your pro clubs, and you'll see just how long the course becomes. Now throw in "very fast" greens, and you got a whole different ball game on your hands as a Master.

There's no need to rush advancing to the Master tier until your positively ready. The frustrations will only increase. Record all your rounds, and you'll advance to the Master tier naturally. GL  : )
