I use WGT caddy and the percentages don't help me, however, it gave my a chance to be a math geek.

This is what I came up with:

Slow greens Distance +/- incline x 1.2 = strength needed

Standard greens Distance +/- incline x 1 = strength needed

Fast greens Distance +/- incline x 0.9 = strength needed

Very fast greens Distance +/- incline x 0.84 = strength needed

Tournament greens Distance +/- incline x 0.77 = strength needed

Legend greens Distance +/- incline x 0.72 = strength needed

Championship greens Distance +/- incline x 0.67 = strength needed

Round up and you should be ok.

Question about putting, if you need 18 feet are you better off using the 20 foot or 50 foot putter?

    courteneyfish:

Isn't this just simple arithmetic, just double the distance hit it twice as hard, or am I missing something?

    Its obvious your missing something.

Yes. Your calc is basically creating a stimp. Just doing it a diff way is all.

That's why I asked. I've never used this putter but I've used just about all of the others and I've never known a putter to be that linear. All the ones I've used use a larger percentage for small putts and a smaller for long ones.

Many players choose even a higher meter, for me that putt i know is 20% of my 90ft meter.

The reasoning is that the longer your pull back your meter, the more chance it has to stutter. I putt with my 90ft meter most of the time, regardless of length, as it seems the most stable and I am generally 0-15ft to pin so i know it inside and out.

    Cheers,

    b0gey

For me with the max putter and a female avatar, I would use 1 avatar movement with the 200 foot scale. Higher scales for putts makes for a shorter meter travel making it easier to ding. Many of us putt this way.
