I think this thread has outlived it's usefulness(the Boolegend thread)>

    -WGTicon

Can we not decide for ourselves?I had, had enough of the thread anyway but surely it is not up to other people in authority(as long as it does not go against rules and guidelines)

    No offense intended, just saying.........

Yep I second that, a player gets caught out cheating, scamming CC and other players, is a multi account holder, and he gets asked to explain, there was no personal attacks, no abuse, yet WGTicon decides to stop the thread that also warned others before they too got scammed by this player.

Is it WGT knows about it yet wont do anything about this player. Maybe WGT staff know this person on a personal level and choose to let him do this.

I believe I and every other player who spends money on this site and plays within the rules of WGT deserves a explanation to the following,

1 Why did WGTicon stop the thread.

2 Why will WGT not do anything about this player

3 If it is ok for this player to have multi accounts why is it so

4 Why does WGTicon protect the player

I believe this thread illustrates exactly why the other thread was closed. The only people who have actual information (not guesswork) about the situation are WGTdbloshoe and WGTicon, and they do not believe it is actionable even though many people clearly want action to be taken. Doesn't that say anything to you?

"do not believe it is actionable............"

How do you know what they believe or what they have done?

If you go to some of those profiles you may note that they haven't played any golf since WGT took no action.

Check what I bolded, did you read the whole thread, or ?...

Damn thing should have been closed much quicker.

FFS folks, WGT is not a Court of Public Hearing.

They owe no explanation, you can request one, and maybe out of courtesy you'll get a response...but no response is required.

Suggestion for those that like those threads, live on those threads and who look forward to those threads, then get a major "come down" when it is closed.

Stay away from the forums, play ya rounds with your pals, and enjoy the game.

    I've bolded an operative word.

Well you may be right, however as a CUSTOMER i would think that sometimes a response would be required. Do i think WGT reps have the time to respond to every thread....no of course not. As a paying customer to this game i sometimes find the lack of communication form WGT is horrible. That is when it comes to serious issue (cheating--and whats being done about it) i like to play for a few credits from time to time and i think its real crappy that WGT can not provide a fair playing field for this to take place or even explain what might be done to try and make that happen again.

Now you might say well don't play for credits and you won't have to worry about what cheat program the idiot you are playing is using......fair enough. In that case maybe WGT needs to rethink their whole purchasing of credits to play this game theory. If they can't eliminate the cheats from the game.

The only thing that keeps WGT from getting in to hot water on this issue is they enable you to purchase a CREDIT....therefore you are not using actual money....but we all know that essentially this is a gambling site once you enter a credit tournament or play a skins game or an mpc.....you just use a coupon(credit) to gamble with and spend as you see fit.

If they've been banned, then wouldn't that close the matter too? Further speculation (after 15 pages of speculation) is either redundant or slanderous, and neither is a particularly good option.

Yes, and you took mine in a skins game before:)

But, I think you missed the gist of my reply.

My reply has/had nothing to do with cheating, playing for credits, etc..had to do with:

    WGT shut down a post

WGT does not owe anyone an explanation (other than what Icon said) any further.

This isn't a "public forum" in the sense we all have Freedom of Speech, this is a forum we use from a privately held company, who sets the ground rules and can do as they please.  It would be the same if this company were a publicly held entity...it's their forum...i/e (whether enforced or not) EBAY has rules as well as to what can be sold/auctioned.

Sure, you (as a 3rd person) do not have to like it, or agree with it, but it is what it is.

Censorship is stopping people from speaking their mind, not shutting down a thread.  As you can see you are still more the welcome to speak your mind in a new thread and no one is stopping you.  Icon shut down a thread that got out of control.  The moderators are here not to be big brother and censor you, but to be here to make sure nothing gets crazy and people follow the Posting guidelines.  If you don't follow the rules that you agreed to in the Terms and Conditions when you signed up for the site, yes we are going to delete posts and close threads.  We all have to follow the rules in these forums moderators included.  So yes speak your mind, complain about whatever you like, but keep it within the rules and civil.

As to explanations of actions taken against other players.  I am sorry but in cases like that you do not get to look behind the curtain.  I personally spend a good portion of my day following up on leads of multi accounters and cheaters, some I have found to be cheating, others I have not.  But my findings are my findings and I am sorry they will not ever be discussed in a thread.  If you need a refresher course on one reason why I will never discuss it..... Bullet point #1 as found in posting guidelines

    DISCUSSING DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS/REQUESTS
Do not post anything that is, or could be, construe
    d to be:
