Timer halved

  Can you let me know why the menu timer has been halved to 2.30 instead of 5 mins,with the loading problems and game comes up with error it takes me about 3,30 to get back on as closing all other windows i have to load everything back up,what was wrong with the 5 min timer,it's playing havoc allready in alt games on wgtls if a team times out they lose even if they are up.

  hi

  we made the change in the last update. we have had 2.30m timer in other modes, so decided to try in all modes. it's still being evaluated  and we may revert back to 5m timer.

  I sure hope you don't revert back to 5 minutes for stroke play . I  can see it on other modes  where people have credits wagered , but please not on the free modes . It was so frustrating waiting for 5 minutes for a player who had no intention of reconnecting anyway , and probably got some mild form of pleasure knowing we were stareing at our screens for 5 plus minutes .

  I agree. In games where a disconnect usually means some kind of technical problems, like alt-shot or credit challenges, time should allow for a reboot and 2:30 is not enough for most people.

  if it takes longer , they will have massive probs with the pc and will not return inbetween 10 minutes...

  i hate to waste my time for nothing in front of my empty screen....

  I was pretty pleasant seeing the outtime has been 2.30 min.

  3 min is too long, they only get 2.5. I'd say 50% make it back into the game in 2.5 after a reboot. Remember that while the computers starts quicker and quicker, they take longer and longer to get ready since an average computer have a lot of auto start services. Not many run dedicated, lean,  gaming machines. Also - the reboot option is usually the last resort, maybe half of the allowed time is already spent when you decide to reboot.

  I can imagine that there could be an option "allow extra time" that the players in the lobby could click. Majority rules, if three players are waiting, two "allows" is enough, if two players are waiting, both must agree.
  
  It is not fun to lose a alt shot just because your partners computer is slow at starting.

  I agree if u need longer than 2.5 minutes to reboot u hv bigger issues, takes me 30 secs to restart, besides u shouldnt hv to reboot u just close the browser window and reopen it.
