  What a sad day for Baseball, on the day of the All-Star game no doubt.

  I feel for you YJ, along with all the other Yankee fans.  : (

  I was watching the news this morning and they reported Mr. Steinbrenner had a heart attack in Florida, and 20 minutes later they reported he had passed away at the age of 80. He'll get a good send-off from the Baseball world during the All-Star game this evening.

  i second that, Richard4168......he was one of a kind, did a lot more for baseball that people think, and he loved ny...great guy

  This just in.  Apparently when Steinbrenner got to Heaven he made  Jesus cut his hair and shave his beard. :-)

   

  (For the uninitiated Yankees are not allowed hair below the collar and no facial hair except neat womb brooms.)

  ... and when he got to heaven he was able to gaze down upon Hell, and there was Johnny Damon laughing at him... with his pre-Yankee long locks.
