It's all very nice that new courses appear from time to time, but are these ever going to graduate to regular play venues? These 'nearest the pin' formats are gimmicky and pretty much a waste of space. Not what golf is all about in the slightest.

For the most part it has been suggested by MisterWGT himself that most CTTHs are photographed for just that CTTHs.

Consider that to develop a full stroke course it entails 360 HD photos from all aspects of the course where as a CTTH is a view from your shot and then any remaining ones around the green.

We will be getting Merion very shortly and I would hope at least a new TRU Golf course this year as well.

    Cheers,

Fair enough, however I don't really see that 360 photos are such a big deal for the value achieved. Get some advice from Google Earth Street View techos on how to collect masses of photography in the correct (geo-referenced) locations. I suspect the gathering of the imagery would be the least of the problem.

360 degree photos from every aspect of the course.  Thousands upon thousands of photos costing a reported 250,000 per course.
