    Hi ppl, does anyone know where in forums I might find a chart for the amount of distance to add(specifically for the level 80 something G20s) when playing into a wind. I have just changed from the rocketball irons and it appears because of the trajectory most shots are falling 3-5 yrds short?? Any help gratefully received, dj

    A general "rule" is 1/3.  So a 15 mph headwind, add 5.  But, beware of VEM.  Sometimes the wind has no effect, sometimes twice as much.

    That will leave you short on most shots at least the longer irons.

    1/3 might do it for your PW and 9i. For your 3 and 4 irons at about 1 yrd for each mph. Tailwind has a lesser effect than headwind. Bilko's wind calculator is a nice starting point to dial in your wind calculations. Use search forums to look this up.

    Sorry, I should have double checked my post.  I think in terms of % needed, rather than extra yards. I add 5% power to power needed.

    Gents/Ladies,  this is what I had for rocketballz(irons) also you have to take into account the level of the approach, I add 1yrd for every 3ft in height which I learn't on here, for lower green approach I still guestimate a bit lol, but because the g20's are high trajectory they are well short and I wondered if there was a chart available specifically for the g20s.     A good rule of thumb how to take the wind (i.e. its forward/backward component) into account is WS*YD/200, where WS wind speed, YD club yardage.

    I recently started using Bilkos wind calculator and it is quite good. It even factors the elevation into the equation. The only thing I need to work on is cross finds.
