  I just read the input from SOGGY BLOGG concerning seniors.  I agree with him that we as seniors cannot compete with the younger players. I am 75 years old and enjoy the daily rounds on WGT.  I am listed as a tour pro, with an average of 74.8.  I don't know how I achieved this ranking as my normal game is high 30's, low 40's for 9 holes, and the mid 80's to low 90's for 18. About once in 15 - 20 rounds I will post a mid 30 score, only twice have I posted an under par score.  I continue to play because I cannot physically participate on a golf course any more.  WGT gives me a relaxing outlet, but it would be nice to be able to win or have a chance to win once in a while.  My biggest problem of inconsistency is not being able to time the ding with ongoing accuracy, and as a result I spend a lot of time in the rough, tall grass, or sand traps.  Again I enjoy WGT and will continue to take what the table offers, but would like to compete with my peers of age rather then the youth.  Thanks for listening.

  Unfortunitly , it takes some spending money in order to hit the ding with consistancy . You need good equipement and balls with a slower meter . Even then it takes good eye / hand cordination and speed . 

  If  your looking to play with peers , may  I suggest joining a good country club - like the one I belong to ? It's the Senior Citizens club . Check it out ; read their forum news , and see if it's for you . 

  And remember , youth is wasted on the young .

  Sir ,   This game has a lot to offer to all of us ,  Find some friends here who enjoy the game for the same reasons you do .  

  There are Country Clubs for Players like your self , Senior Citizens CC  is one of them ,and you will find help with your game .

  It does not matter what score you post ,  But ,,  Post all your scores with Pride .

  I'm afraid you and me will never win anything due to the many talented and "extremely talented" players rising up every day. Alas, this should not spoil the fun - I enjoy the pictures like on Day One, and the odd perfect shot contributes to the fun, too.

  Advancing in tiers happens quite automatically, because the WGT average collects our best rounds, and over time they add up to the correct number. As a TP you are safe from tiering up as long as you do not shoot any(!) round of 33 / 67 and better.

  That said, you have one club missing in your bag. You might add the Starter 3H hybrid club (190 yds) to close a gap in yardage. Custom balls (from 1 cr / round, misses in CTTHs excluded) slow down the meter if you like to improve your game.

  Be aware though that tiering up to Master comes with long fairways which may be uncomfortable and fun-spoiling with your equipment - an upgrade looming behind that corner :)

  I understand completeley and i am sure most of us only hit the ding a small percentage of what we would like.

  A wise friend told me once, dont aim for the ding.

  It gives you far less margin for error.

  get used to your shots and aiming for a 'consistent' off ding shot.

  EG; always 'ding' early.  This gives you a larger sweet spot.

  Adjust your aim accordingly. Realise your distance will be affected.

  The R11 driver series have a large forgiveness factor. These are good for chaps like you n me.
