Excuse me, WBW, the setting is obvious.
It was not a single or A/S match, otherwise it would not have continued after the opponent's DQ.
And it's a well-known flaw of strokeplay that the lower score from the disconnection will be wrongfully announced as the "winner".
@Jscott70: This doesn't mean a thing. These "wins" will not effect anything outside of that game - finished, over and forgotten.
The opponent's status has distantly to do with his behaviour. He will get a few XPs for levelling up, alas only one for each stroke and none for game completion (which is much more).
His average and thus his tier will not be affected as only completed ranked stroke play (amonst others) will cause movement there.
