Earning Credits

Just came across this game while trying to find (surprise) a decent golf game for the PC.. I like this, pretty cool actually. One thing that kind of bothers me though is the credit system, is there any way to earn credits by playing, similar to XP points? I see you can buy credits, and playing some tourneys can gain you credits if you win, but other than purchasing groupons or doing surveys (3 of which ive done but only gained credits for 1) is there a way to earn credits? Or is this just a money grab in terms of credits... I mean, how are you supposed to get decent equipment?

There are a few ways to earn credits.

Do the free surveys,their usualy pretty generous in Canada.Do the carousel videos every 24 hours,accumulate credits.

Don't rush it .Play a lot of ranked rounds with the free equipment and you will level up really quickly.Once you get to level 40 to 50,you'll have a choice of decent clubs.

.Learn the different courses,learn how to chip and flop around the greens.The punch shot is very useful when your in the heavy rough,sand traps or in between clubs.

Remember when you buy equipment,it's only temporary because once you level up to master,you'll need to change again because you'll be playing from further back.Same thing when you hit legend.It can become pretty expensive.

I do agree, and it is o.k.

Internet is not for free, so is this game.

WGT is a business with a good product - pretty cool, I agree. They are on the market to make money (surprise!), and it's not too expensive if you do it right. One thing you need for this is patience, advance slowly and choose your buys well.

Do some investments for your recreation. Either invest time (plenty of it) for the "free" offers, or spend some 70 - 100 $ for clubs (in portions) and 10/20/30... $ per month for balls. A day out on Old Course is more expensive (237 $ green fee), and other vices are costly, too.

LOL. This depends as WGT reserves the right to close your account for trying if they "deem" you're too good at it.

Your best shot, if you don't want to spend money, is accumulate all the credits you can from watching videos (or pushing play while you go pee) and fumbling through surveys.

Until you earn a good chunk of credits, keep using starter clubs and learning the game with them. If you suck with starter clubs, you'll suck with bought clubs.

Trying to learn to fly before you crawl or walk here will just make you a mediocre player with less-than-mediocre gear.

The worst is spending 20 minutes on a survey only to find out I "wasn't eligible" for the survey and got no points.

Watch the videos - do it every day.

Play as much as you can.

Before you know it, you will have enough free credits to buy some better gear - not the top of the range stuff, but something better than the starter clubs.

Dont get hooked on credits - get hooked on the game!
