I'm about done with this "game" out of utter frustration... now venting...  every time I am having the game of my life, everything mysteriously unravels with utterly strange lies, club shots miraculously missing their mark (too short and too long), weird bounces, and an almost magnetic attraction to bunkers when clearly I have hit the ball straight on... .I don't mind a challenge, but suddenly my under par scores rise to 7, 8, or 9 above at the end of the day.

in reality, this all doesn't matter because it's just a video game...but it just seems incredibly unrealistic so suddenly...

Upgrading your clubs will help. You can watch videos, do surveys and offers to pay for new equipment.

    Hi Niblick,

To get more constant you need better clubs. They give more precision and forgiveness. This will help. Watch some vids and do some surveys and soon enough you will be able to buy some basic sets.

The point you are also seem to miss is that this game is not just a video game, it is a community. Meet some people in MP games, make some friends, join a country club, it's a place where friends meet to play a round and a lot more fun that way. If you are looking for just a video game you might be better of with TW or something

    It's really quite simple:

    -buy better clubs

    -buy better balls

    -join a good CC

    -clear your cache

    -try a different browser

-keep notes of every shot for every hole

-start a MP match and sing kumbaya instead of actually playing a game, remember you didn't come to WGT for just a golf game

-just like real life, anything can happen, enjoy the moment.

    -make friends

    -relax

Wow so basically pay them money or they will purposely frustrate the living hell out of you by making you suck. I can't believe you guys can't see through this BS. They're laughing to the bank right now.

    pretty poor analogy ..

like real golf .. perhaps u're starting out with basic club set & play like crap  ..

who u gonna blame then ? the game of golf itself ?  the country club ? perhaps the PGA ? cause someone is laughing all the way to the bank right ? what BS .. we should all see through this ..

likely, when u suck, u're pretty much accomplishing that all on ur own .. so either get better at ur hobby / sport / past time or go read a book ..

nah, scratch that .. the book will cost money too

With an 80 avg at pro tier, my advice would be to learn the game and your clubs. Blaming the game for errant shots is just nonsense, more than a few players have made master with starter clubs. No need to spend anything at present, get to tour pro 1st then see what you need.

I assume that you wanna play the "free game" which is well possible with basic equipment and it's limited characteristics.

While talking of frustration, you apparently want more, want a better game, correct?

Do you know of any other games which allow some performance "for free", other than

    - soccer with an empty can,

    - running barefoot,

    - "golf" with a branch and a stone,

    - nine men's morris with pebbles?

When you'll have answered this, we may talk about the difference between a charity and a business. Third lesson might be a debate about the thesis "There is no free lunch" if you want to.

    Have a nice day!
