Having read as much as I can take on the complaints about meter stutter, which I also experience, I have not seen this answer.

It isn't easy because we are conditioned to be ready to click in a matter of 2-3 seconds.  Nonetheless, if you see a stutter, take your hand off of the mouse.  DO NOT CLICK at all.  The meter will go all the way to the right and your avatar will essentially take a practice swing.  It will not count as a stroke.

As I said, it's not easy to do, but when you can, it will save you from having to guess where the meter really is, and save you from an errant shot.

And for all those who think that the communication between you and the server is YOUR fault, perhaps you can explain why I have to type some characters (or space bar) multiple times (2-5) before WGT recognizes it.  This is the only place on any computer that this phenomenon occurs.  Count my characters here and add 30% to that number.  Especially rough on a touch typer.

The typing problem will be cured by changing your browser.

So you're saying that WGT, from San Fran, developed a product that doesn't work well with the most used browser in North America?  Not a big deal to get Firefox, it just seems odd to me.  My solution will probably be not to post very often.  And that might be better for everyone judging by the Gump video response.  :)

    Hmm WGT should know better.

Maxthon or Comodo Dragon works the best for WGT.

IE & Firefox dont work very well. Chrome used to be favoured, but no longer.

I'm using IE and have a smooth meter 99 percent of the time. Only a rare occasional pause. I do run ccCleaner daily, and clear all cache, browser and flash, before each round. Works great.

For 32 bits systems either Comodo Dragon on SRware Iron, for 64 bit systems Comodo Dragon, Pale Moon 64 or Water Fox. Maxthon 3 is good too but I don't like its smaller full screen mode.

Clearing your cache that often causes slow loads as all the files have to be loaded back into cache. WGT recommends only clearing cache after an update or when you are getting strange results.
