So, you are a level 91, Legend. You have 98,048 xp's to go before you hit level 92. The next equipment that you would consider buying start at level 94 and go to level 98. You have the best clubs, you use balls that are 500 per sleeve, there is absolutely no desire to try and go to Tour Legend. And just maybe by September you'll reach level 92.

So, what is your motivation to continue. You also have 25,000+ credits socked away in the "Bank". What does one do from the top? New clubs won't motivate, better balls....already have, buy a new avatar, why, they are all the same, nothings different. Already have bought 6. So you can look different every day.

So I ask again, what is there to keep you motivated and want to push on? What do you have to look forward to? And you love the game so much, you don't know how to live without it. So you'll keep on playing, AND HOPE THAT THE WGT, IN THERE INFINITE WISDOM, COMES UP WITH THINGS TO PEAK YOUR INTEREST, MAKE YOU COME BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY BECAUSE SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING IS COMING!

Help ME, WGT. I need you to show me that even though I made it to the top, that you STILL care about me, and all those just like me. This is in no way WGT bashing, they don't deserve it anyway. It's more like a cry for help. Help us stay interested, buy new items and make us play more. We have come this far, show us that you want us to go further.

"Fairways & greens", all......and I "hope I see you in the short grass, soon"

I'd say qualing for the VUSOpen would be motivation?

Sure, just short term...but if you qual...

Then (hopefully) the British Open would be around the corner.

You have not made it to the top "yet".  Keep grinding, make tour legend, challenge yourself with personal goal for your game.

I know credits are worthless, but I grind so I can give gifts to the lower tier players or friends.

I know making TL is the last step, but once you are there...  It's a whole new ball game.

Set a goal to raise your stats, currently I am working on my putting.  I have set a goal to have a 60% 1 putt rate by the end of this month.  Next month, who knows... Heck, I might make it a point to play every RG to make the leaderboard in earnings for the month.

Point is, YOU have to have the desire to challenge yourself with your own goals.  If you run out of ideas, post up a thread in your CC to gain insight as to whats next for you.  I know my team has given me months of stuff to work on...lol

I know how golfvader7 feels.I tought I had made it by becoming legeng.I tought "now I can just relax and enjoy the ride".Then tour legend tier arrived and with the new rules new legends are popping up left and right, achieving in a couple of mounths what took us years.

Let's be honest I may improve but...tour legend;never in my life time...

I still enjoy a good match with someone of my level once in a while but I did loose a bit of the thrill.

Thank goodness for the new course,it's a nice change.

I play less but I still enjoy it.

Hope to play with you again Golfvader7.

I agree with the posts saying lot's of things to compete for.  The open is fun trying even if my chances are poor lol..........There are lot's of good CCs and so on...My fun comes from doing teh best I can in anything I enter, and watching my average come down.  I am lucky in that I am in a good CC with good competition and good people...Personally I think a good CC is important...I say that without even having checked your profile OP, but that's what does it for me!

My huge goal is TL.....and I will crack on with that in my own little way!

So I would say there are goal's to make this game interesting for people like the OP (I am same level / tier).

Now do I think WGT care about us..sadly the answer is a big NO! Everything has been issued recently for TM and below.  Any use it has in Legend tier is purely coincidental.  To me it's obvious fast growth is demanded and we are therefore not part of the plan! WGT could easily have lowered the R11s say L92 and then made everything open to TL...surely TL should be rewarded???...personally I think the current regime is being v short sighted, and the money grabbing is done so obviously in obvious area's............................Will they listen? I doubt it........... The plan certainly looks to only concern it'self with the quickest, short term growth possible...Geez even the Par now in CCs....Other things possible but get the daft HIO challenges in front of as many people as possible!

Given time I am sure something will happen is a sale's driven world. More forgiveness on an R11 equivalent, as say moving the R11S down to say level 92 and something then in between that and the R1 bomb. All looks an obvious area to move in.  I still think that if any one get's to TL they are cream and ALL equipment should then be open...at least the R11S... v least...........

Merion is a great thing though, and show's some light I hope.....The otherwise huge emphasis on the short term is the bit that concern's me most...That can implode ..............

Presently that's mine, but i must admit I'm not feeling the love doing so.

And on another note, am I alone, I think you would have to be a retarded idiot to attempt the hole in 1 challenges, anybody check out the no wind games recently, 5 feet, pfffffft, maybe 5 yards and there might be a chance.

Where is the wisdom in bringing in both these wild variations in club direction and hole in 1 challenges, or is this site chock full of retarded idiots.

    GREAT POST by LC

This sums it up, whether it be to make TL, just play with friends or improve stats - and this counts at any level/tier.

I do disagree with credits though - these are far from worthless when you have to pay for them lol.

For me my goal is to one day make TL which some days I doubt will happen, but it is my current driving force, some days it is just to have fun with friends playing A/S (especially when getting near the ding is a distant memory lol (oops no-one will want me as a partner now}.

The most important thing is to enjoy - regardless of your goal. They day I lose the enjoyment (and I will ignore the fact I feel like tossing my mouse further than my bad shot went) is the day I will quit playing.

Desire to get better......always. Work ethic......2nd to none. Legend.....delighted to be a member of that fine fraternity. TL.....not the least bit interested. Lower my score avg......certainly. Do all the above AND tend to Country Club business.......difficult. A shot in the arm incentive by the WGT......priceless. But what & where is it?

Will NEVER give up. Without all this, what little life I have would be gone. It's like looking for the missing link. OH, and 1 more thing that nobody will like......"Blaming the WGT for every little thing that goes wrong with your game, and refusing to accept responsibility for your own poor play.......RIDICULOUS!!!!!
