I need some help from techno nerdies out there :-)

in say 25% of the cases when i arrive at the green to putt my processor goes to 100% usage, causing my client to freeze up. It seems to be the putting grid that causes the problem. The problem persists when using an other browser; i've tried with IE, Chrome and Maxthon.

When playing i always have 1 instance of Excel running, and sometimes Skype with a Conf. Call. Game Booster doesn't seem to help.

    My config:

    - 32 bits Win 7 Pro

    - 3 GB RAM (4 GB installed but 32b only supp. 3 max)

    - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.60 Ghz processor

    - Abobe flash version installed in:

    • Chrome 11.7.700.179
    • Maxthon 11.7.700.169
    • IE 11.6.602.180

While Googling i found references to processors going bonkers on dual-install config's with browsers. I have an old Win7 inst. on my C-drive. My current installation is on G-drive. Both have the same problem ofc.

    Any ideas are welcome :-)

Try something simple first......update your mouse drivers........Turn off external printer if one is attached also. Sometimes hardware devices want to share IRQ slots which is not good. If you nuilt that rig yourself and you know how to change those IRQ slots then check to see if any hardware is sharing the same slots and if so designate the hardware so that they dont share.

Maybe your puter cache is filling up to Max and then starts to empty.

Or....  maybe you have too many programs running at one time....

When looking at Flash...How many files are there?   I usually delete all the files except for Wgt from Flash

Vista has 64 bit OS capability, doesn't Win 7? Switch to that and you get the other 1GB RAM in play and it may solve your problem. Not the extra RAM, just the 64 bit OS.

Was similar for me and started a few days back...CPU running way high when game browser was open.

First open task manager and go to processes...list by CPU usage (click CPU-see what is causing high usage)

If all looks good...you may have Malware..i/e in the list nothing shows high usage, yet at bottom left of Task manager, CPU is running high.

Internet searches led me to Malware bites?..think it was called..free download...ran the scan, cleaned out like 15 things..CPU back to normal for me.

I had just earlier run full Norton scan and cleaned a few things, but Malware bites seemed to do a better job.

Also, if your ISP is Comcast, you will have 'ComcastAntispy' running in your processes and it will eat up most of your CPU memory/space.

I had the damn thing running and meter skipping/ game running choppy.

I removed the 'Comcastantispy' program and the game runs smooth as silk now.

MB is also giving good advice because I also found some malware with PC pitstop that was running and useing disc space as well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have implemented the "if you can't fix it, get a larger hammer" solution: build a new PC from scratch....problem solved :-)
