Why is there little or no difference in the wind speeds between Moderate and High?

I'm not sure it's as much the number of mph's as it is the affect they have on the shots. A 14 mph moderate wind doesn't act like a 14 mph high wind, IMO. As silly as it sounds, I don't think they're the same wind.

    Hi

I believe high winds are 14-22, while moderate are 7-14, so yes, there is a big difference.

So Mr. Jim we have folks playing numerous rounds with only 1 wind to qualify which is Moderate and WGT decides lets throw in High winds in the real deal shouldn't  there be a difference or should I have to turn on the Flag animation to tell. And you have been playing long enough to know with that turned on you could start having problems with the meter.

No offense Icon but you better go back and check. I have had 17 mph winds in practice mode with moderate checked. That is why I asked the ?

They are different, Icon just explained that. They will tell you and IMO, you can count on high winds for at least one of the final rounds plus you just know they're going to be on Championship greens. That's the comical part about the qualifying-players master the same conditions and score their rears off BUT come final time, everybody is in the same boat and the real players survive in conditions new to them. Sounds like a halfway decent attempt to level the field to me, or thin the top anyway.

Incidentally, the flags are useless for determining anything-they're generic movements.
