I would like to know why when you have invested your own money buying balls and they are either lost or taken out of play ,even though you have better the game gives you the starter balls

Most big real life tournaments use the one ball directive, which means you can only use one type of ball during a round. WGT uses are a variation on this otherwise you would be disqualified for running out of balls.

A player under the "One Ball Condition" rule does not become disqualified for running out of balls. He can as long as it can be done within the time limitation set forth by the tournament,  beg, borrow or buy and use additional balls as long as they are the exact same  manufacturer, model, compression etc. ball he started with. Should he not be able to come up with the same exact type within the time limitations he then would have to disqualify himself from the tournament.

Hence when you become down your last ball of the type you are using during a round or tournament and WGT offers you the option to purchase more of the exact same balls they are still within the One Ball Condition ruling.

The thing is , this isnt a pro tournament.

Its a bl00dy computer game FCOL!

When I play golf with my friends, we lose balls and just pluck whatever else we had out of our bag.  we would find balls and use them too.

Maybe the 1 ball condition could apply to RGs and WGT Tournaments & have it as a selectable option in other games.

This is all about revenue and not Pro rules.

Golf balls should be cheaper also, at $5 per sleeve at a pro shop they cost $4 in credits here and you can by a club for $15 in the game.  Make them cheaper and more people will play the game.

    This from the the USGA:

"Q.  What does the "One Ball Condition" mean?

    A.  The Rules of Golf do not require a player to use the same brand and type of golf ball throughout the stipulated round. A player may use a different ball to start each hole. However, the Committee may adopt as a Condition of a Competition, the "One Ball Condition." When this condition is adopted, players are required to use the same brand and type of golf ball throughout the stipulated round. Please refer to Appendix 1; Part C; 1 (Specification of the Ball)."

    http://www.usga.org/RulesFAQ/rules_answer.asp?FAQidx=124&Rule=100

Note that the Committee may adopt it as a Condition of a Competition. The one ball rule should not apply to solo ranked rounds as well as both solo and multiplayer practice rounds.

As I understand it now, it's rather not the One Ball Condition of the Golf Rules (1) but the "no game options" condition by WGT.

    (1) which comes handy of course. Alas, in the past video chat, Chad would not mention it, rather saying (from my memory), "we don't know which ball you'd want to choose, so we give you the Starter".
