Was wanting to get some input on making the  transition from G20s to R11s

How much of a  benefit is it to make the move from the G20s to the R11s I find myself lucky to shoot a couple under par (feel sure its the operator and not the equipment lol)

but im a lvl 88 legend would it help me any to start into the r11s?

thanks for any input or advice!

I had the G20 and upgraded the second I could to the R11s.

The pros are the R11s are excellent, they have much more stopping power than the G20s did (even the 3-4 iron). I also like the increments of 15 yards per club (3I 225 yards)

The downside is they are a faster meter speed and less forgiving but if you can handle the meter speed they will e worth at least 2-3 shots a round.

At level 88 you still have some waiting to do, but depending on how fast you like the meter, trial them first. Like any clubs, especially after the slower G20 meter, they do take time to adjust to, but are the best irons to make the long approaches easier.

Practice with a starters ball with the G20s and then the meter speed of the R11s wont seem as bad.

    Hope that is some help.

Driving accuracy will not be helped by the RII driver.  IMHO it edges it overall over the L81 G20 but no forgiveness - why many say bad stuff about it?

The R11 iron set have a faster meter, but nothing to be afraid of IMO. You have the L59 iron set, and so an improvement club wise IF the meter is OK.

I take it the driver is your main question going by the title and noting you have L59 Iron's currently.

Overall though your distance to the pin / putting is the bit that needs to be looked at. I know that is the area of my game I have been working on and need to continue working on.  You are a L88 Legend, and so understand the game. Distance to the pin and putting are the main part's, and so what do you think there as much as anything.

Improving Your 5 foot putt's would have the greatest immediate impact on your game I suggest..............................

In Short the L90 Iron's, combined with the R11 driver is a good combo if you are OK with the meter and don't miss by much with that driver..........Apart from working on the green though it may be worth holding off until L90 and thinking again then - ?????? depends on how credit's are burning a hole in your pocket or not...

The only problem I have is that the irons are a different speed to the woods. Otherwise they're great and the 225 yard iron is worth the price on it's own.

thank you all very much for the responses!!

My iron play and around the green and on the green is terrible lately!!

I should have already purchased the lvl 81 G20 iron set, buuuuut I was being   a bit of a hard head just trying to sweat it out for the R11 irons which I have suffered for that move lol

but now that im getting a little closer to the lvl 90 R11 irons I think I will just sweat it on out and purchase all R11's I usually dont have any trouble adjusting to meter speeds after I get a few rounds under with them, I really do appreciate the responses, were very nice tips/ suggestions. I am disabled and cannot work therfore I have to save up surveys etc to purchase new clubs, my wife takes care of me and the bills, another reason I held off on G20 lvl 81 irons bc didnt wanna turn right back around and have to purchase the r11'sSO I DONT dare ask her for credits for virtual golf clubs!!! LOL but I cant wait to get to lvl 90 to try those irons out its been a long wait for those babys!! Thanks all! OFF TO PRACTICE I GO!!
