ICON, pretty sure the debate of weather or not to trust the caddy has been solved ith a resounding NO! Now explain why identical situations (ie. on the fringe, same hole, different rounds, same conditions, same club selection set at pitch, punch etc. with identical meterd swings and ding, always result in totally different outcomes) . Example: Barely on the fringe/green, with 8 yards to stick, identical club selections and settings, exact same swing length and ding, first round ball goes 1 yrd, next round, same home, same conditions same selection and swing, ball goes 19 yrds.
I think your programmers hav a good concept here in their game, but drastically lack n their consistency department. I think your programmers should actually be allowed to leave their cubicles at least once a month to go out on a real course and try the game.
Now I know some are going to say that in the real world, one will always have different results in 2 identical shot situations, and although I agree to some extent, 99% of the time, the results will b close to a similar outcome and not as drastic a result a what happens on here.
