This thought occured to me recently:  What makes the great players on here great?  The answer is simple, they hit it closer to the hole than the rest of us and (cue drumroll) they play/practice a whole lot more than we do.  Take Tibbets for instance, he has played as of this morning 675 "ranked" rounds on here and probably several times that many practice rounds.  His accuracy is what sets him apart from the rest of us, 95% driving accuracy and 86% GIR with an average approach distance of 10' and corresponding average putts/Rd of 1.27.  The next best player on here is AvatarLee again with great accuracy numbers, 93% DA & 88% GIR, also with AAD of 10' and 1.38P/Rd.  The next two best players on the list are Caven and Nivlac, both with similar stats to the top two and both with approximately 300 ranked rounds played.  The thing that sets these "greats" apart from the rest of the players on the "Top 10" list not to mention the rest of us  is that they have put in the time to learn the course and they have learned the mechanics of the virtual game to enable them to hit it close to the hole.  Pretty much the way golf works in the real world.

PS:  One more interesting tidbit about Tibbets, his ratio of birdies or better to bogies or worse is a whopping 46:1!!!  Compare this to that of the next best player, AvatarLee, whose B/B ration is 20!  This ratio for the rest of the "hacks" in the top ten list averages 5.7!  Fun facts to know and ponder.

Gotta love people who are into stats lol.

Seriously though, it's about all the little things as well.  Yes, hitting it closer to the hole is a big plus, but you have to be able to execute under all different situations.  Scrambling stats, Sand save percentages...these are the ones that are underrated, but in reality are critical to having any degree of consistent success.  Sometimes the deviations of this game take you to places you didn't aim, and you need to be able to recover well in order to keep a good round alive.  Like Tiger Woods has done so many times, sinking the tough par putt after being in trouble can be the catalyst for a great round.  Golf is very much a game of momentum, so if you do all the little things well, you can keep your momentum going, score well, and do it consistently round in and out.

i usually get as close to the holes as tibbets and if you play with lee, u know that he might even get closer than us.

by fat the biggest difference is tibbets can knock down putts with amazing consistency whil lee is amazing also, he is still hairline below tibbets

and if you look at me it's more like a mile or two
