I remember back when I worked on the Public Golf Course when I was 18 years old. And the highlight of the Summer was a putting contest to ring in the Summer. It would last for about a week then end on the weekend with the top two leaders. I especially liked it that they had it in the evening time when it was cool outside and was directly in front of the 19th hole. It was funny to see members trying to compete after a few drinks inside while waiting for their turn to putt.
Could we have a set up similar to this when playing Match Play?
It would be very nice to take turns with your friends playing The Best of WGT Putting Contest. And would not have to effect your averages or other areas of your game; simply just for fun. But have it show the Match Play points at the end to show who was 1,2, and so on. And include this in Country Club matches as well.
This would be a great way to relax with your friends in a different format but I would definitely leave a clock timer on it for those who take too long to putt...lol
