4th wedge ?

  Sorry i know it has been asked before,i was thinking of getting the cleveland 115yard wegde, but before i go all or nothing on it is it worth dropping the 3wd for the 4th wedge,i hope someone who plays with 4 wedges can answer,thanks in advance.D

  i don't have 4 wedges and thought about geting that wedge as well but couldn't justify spending that money for it as a 4th wedge fo regular play

  I thought about getting it to dump my driver and carry 3wd and 4 wedges for closest to the hole since the clevelands are so very precise.

  In regular play for you i cant see it, your R11s have 4.5 precision and 4 spin so really good and your PW goes to 120 and then the next step down is 100 so it fits perfect, can't see losing the 3wd to have a 115 club.

  Yes i know the clevelands stick it hard and you can hole it regularly with them but i use my 3wd quite a bit and am personally happy with my pw which are bladez not even the r11

  Only other thing i heard was someone ditching the 100 wedge for the 115 then the 80 and 60, then using punch to fill gap, not sure why, maybe with my bladez cuz pw is at 125

  just my pennies worth

  Maybe, for a different challenge on some courses. (I assume you meant your 3W gets dropped.) I played 4 wedges for a while as a Legend (had always played them until Legend) and the 4th wedge was that 115. That wedge was so good I kept it in the bag instead of the 80W for a while and used it instead of the R11 set wedge. The meter was slower and it punched great. 

  The problem is  you don't really gain a significant advantage over the game with the 4th wedge. It's so close to the R11 PW that there's no real need for it with the 100W. Now if it ever gets to the point where you can carry the CG instead of the set wedge, well then the CG trumps.  :-)

  I have 4 wedges (eliminated hybrid - still have 3 wood), and absolutely would not do without any one of them. R11 PW 120 yds, Cleveland 56 degree 100 yds....Cleveland 60 degree 80 yds...and, Cleeland 64 degree 60 yds. These are your scoring clubs. After attending the Dave Pelz Scoring Game 3-day school, I carry 4 wedges in my real golf bag as well. Brand and type of wedges is of course a personal choice, but I would highly recommend the 4 wedges if you want to get lower scores. I don't think I could have ever made it to Legend without them all.

  I think 3 wedges are plenty. Once you know your distances on full and punch, and you've worked out a percentage scale you can hit any length with just 3 of them.

  I have 3 separate wedges, but there's also the pitching wedge that's part of the iron set. I'm guessing that's what RK means by 4.

  I have the 115 yd wedge and I think its great to have a wedge between my 120 yd PW and my 100 yd Cleveland.  I have actually eliminated both my hybrid and 3W and so I actually have 5 wedges 120,115,100,80,and 60.  I play from the TM tees so I am not really far back like a Legend would be.

  I have 50, 75, and 100 yard wedges, plus the 120 yard pitching wedge that's part of the iron set. With a 225 yard 3-iron and a 240 fairway wood, I feel as if I'm in good shape, no need for a hybrid. Of course I want the longer driver and fairway wood, but what the hey.
