I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
I am a member of his most recent club, UNCC. I played several times with Steve and he was kind and gentle soul. I am sure this loss has devestated your family, and I can only imagine your pain.
To the greater audience let me say it's is especially poignant to me. Our club is a tight group. We are not the most talented cadre...but we have some very tight bonds. Today was the finale of our match play tourny, and I had the honor of participating...it was a tough, hard fought match, but also filled with somber tones as this tourny is named for Oskar Waller, another member who left this mortal coil. It is troubling to lose another friend on this day of celebrating the life of another member gone too soon...
Words fail at this moment...Russ, may whatever God you pray to give you comfort. Your brother will not be forgotten...not even by this man, who never had the pleasure of laying eyes upon him, but yet was blessed enough to experienced some of the subtler tones of his soul.
