    oneeyedjohn:

OK I am a little peeved at losing on a coin toss, so put me down for the next one Shoe, but may I make a suggestion please.

In the first instance of a tie or no play game, u should make a judgment call, and then if u have no evidence to support one player over the other, then by all means flip a coin.

I did make a special effort to be available for my match, but all to no avail.

Shame to lose out in such a way.

Looks to me at the moment that with the 'flip of a coin' rule any player can make a point of avoiding opponents time and time again and go on to  win the event.

e.g. I've drawn BiB in a future venture. At best I'd probably have a 1/10 (10%) chance of sneaking a win - that goes up to 50% if I just decide to go on holiday and make no attempt to actually play.

Maybe worth looking at another option for future events?

Hmmm 'ColumbusStorm' in the next round..... where's the nearest travel agent?

    ;o)

Just a quick question, will there be a second tournament with the extra players included?, if so, when?

    Eric

Next tournament will start July 9th.  Have 12 players signed up so far.  Any players knocked out of the first one are more then welcome to enter this next one.

Another suggestion for next time :- let us use our own putters....bit of a lottery even when we do get to the green with starters :)

Edit:- not lost yet so no axe to grind

Just finished my round wi th Andy (alcaucin), which he won 1 up. The man was extremely gracious (i.e. not laughing) when my arch nemesis -- the missed ding -- reared it's ugly head on two holes, hitting into places from which one absolutely cannot recover.  Andy, on the other hand, didn't make it easy in that he nailed everything he needed to.  A very well-played match, my friend. Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks, Shoe, for a great idea for a tourney. Hopefully, next tme, I'll have worked out my ding kinks.

Well that was dicey....2 up after 3 then 'loose' went on a roll......Save B on #7 off the ridge (lucky not to roll back down) to stay 1 down then a miss ding from 'loose' and 2 tree hits later got it AS.....nice approach to #9 within 2ft sealed it but...either way would've been a fair result..n1 m8t enjoyed it (apart from my screams of desperation this end) :))

Got scorecard this time just need to transpose it to here

Definitely ...............looked plenty of room on both tries to get past that tree it just wouldn't let you !
