courteneyfish:
There is no way to perform a true fade in this game, WGT have said that they hope to include it some time in the future.
Everything is so cut & dried, black & white with you Ms Fish.
Yes, there are better sims for shot-shaping, but you can effectively hit fades and draws by manipulating spin a bit and where you click in the hitting zone (from the 'early' | dark blue | early light blue |DING| 'late' light blue | late dark blue | region.
What spin and where to hit 'off-ding' depends on wind & terrain. Unless one is hitting a draw or fade to negate wind, one will have to adjust aim (think stance) accordingly. I think of hitting 'early' and compare it to getting my hands rolled over early in real golf, thus striking the ball with a closed club-face; conversely hitting late on WGT, I equate to striking the ball with the club-face open. For the early hit draw use some back-spin, for the fade, use some top-spin. Depending on any cross-wind, a draw will result if you hit right at the border of the early dark and light blue region - what I call the draw line. What I call the Fade line divides the light blue from the dark blue in the late region.
Hit too far into the dark blue regions and you'll get a hook (early) or a slice (late). Hits in most of the light blue regions on either side of the DING line resemble pulls and pushes.
The farther away from the ding line you hit the bigger the distance penalty, I expect a 5 - 10% loss for the draw or fade.
BTW, Legend Crusher gave the succinct answer to OP.
