So I am at a cross roads here people. I have weighed the pros and cons and still am 50/50... I need everyones help.

So I played my way down to a 60 avg with the 59 g20 set but when I got the credits I switched and told myself I would commit to the lvl 79 RB. Well I have been using those for a month or so now with A LOT of mixed results. I am just not that happy with them. It seems like when I miss the ding (which is to frequently) it goes so far off path. Even when I miss by a pixel or so....

Now that I am a lvl 83 I have the option to switch to the upgrade that got me to the 60 originally...

You may be saying o yourself.. just switch... but here is my reasons why I am torn...

    Rocketballs -

Pros : 5 yards total more distance, Better precision?, I have already mapped out a lot of shots with them, I purchased them so old be a waste of credits, The ball stops well with them.

Cons: When I miss the ding Im automatically putting from 15ft out. The swing meter speed is faster then my driver and 3 wood. I a forever away from the R11 driver so that wont change. My handicap has gone up 1 stroke using thee although my putting has improved by a large margin.

    G20s -

Pros: Meter matches my driver and 3 wood. I did great with the level 59 g20s. More forgiveness which is a nice treat. Will probably get more dings. I do like how the PW is 110 instead of 125 like the RBz. Other then that I have not used them before so can't provide to many positives.

Cons: Have to buy a new set. Have to basically start over with my distance mapping which is annoying. Have to lose out on distance and precision which is tough when a legend. When  get to the point in 15 years that I can buy the R11s I will have been using a much slower meter for a long time.

so please help me decide! thank you in advance or the help!

Stick with the bladz..I never played with the ping. I will say the bladz are very close to the r-11's, very close.

If you can afford to buy them, the nike balls with a slower meter made all the difference for me. The lvl 48 balls will be very close to the yardage of the lvl 33 callaways. Eventually you will have to get use to the higher meter speed anyway if you are going to purchase the rlls. Let me say, they are  worth every penny. Whatever you decide, have fun.

thre is actually an entire thread about this comparison somewhere. I think you can search. I think more importantly, it depends on what you are trying to do.

If you just play for fun in the free plays and alt shot and match play and aren't trying to earn credits in challenges and RGs, then maybe just having the ease of the G20s and their forgivenss and slower meter is better.

If you want to compete and try and become very competitive and earn credits etc, then maybe the Rbladez are where it is at and you just need to use them more and get better with them.

I chose the bladez cuz i wanted the precision and spin and wanted to compete in RGs and it was what i felt i needed, for me.  I just kept playing them and trying different balls with them til i felt comfortable. Now i enjoy them and shott pretty good with them

I too played the G20's ( lower level ) and loved them , then bought L83 g20's and hated them , not really much better than the lower level ones but couldn't ding them at all , then bought RocketBladez and were great once i got used to them , play R11's now , but still go back to Bladez when my confidence is low , lol .

L79 Bladez are the second best scoring irons on WGT period! The big down side as you note is the awful lack of forgiveness if you miss wind side. I have had both sets in question and the Bladez will beat the G20s for their place in my bag over the G20s every day of the week...........When you can look at your wedges to but that's for another time I guess........

EDIT...PW wise the R Bladez punches at 108 yards..........it's a great PW IMHO and the G20s will offer nothing over it..........

I couldn't find a similar thread in my searches unfortunately. Would anyone else agree with the level 48 Nike being similar to the Callaway s balls?? If so I will purchase those. I just don't want to mess with my distances...

I want to compete in ready-gos again... especially with the success I am having with my putting style.

THANK YOU FOR THE INPUT EVERYONE. I will stick with the RBz and try some diff golf balls.

With R11 irons I find the L81 (71s same I think save meter) but by golly the L35 Cally Z runs them closer than might think IMHO................food for thought rather than answering I guess...

I just went through the same transition. I found that the level 80 and 81 Nike's worked best for me. The level 80's have higher spin and the level 81's have higher distance. They both have nice slow meters but are spendy.

I like the Blades. I think they are fantastic irons with great distance and for me, with the high level Nike's, stopping the ball just got a lot easier.

I'm at 83 as well and I'm just going to stick with the Blazes until I can get the R11's.  I was using Nike distance balls for a while and am now using spin balls with these Blades as I've felt like lately I can't get the ball to stop quick enough with my long irons.  It's cut off a ton of distance on my 3iron with full back spin but I think it's worth it to stop better, especially when playing a ready go with Championship greens where it feels like the ball is on ice sometimes.

I do well with the Blades when I ding, but like you I miss the ding a lot and it can really kill a round when I'm not dinging.  On a good round where I'm dinging many shots I may average 8-10 feet to pin, but on the rounds I struggle I average 15+ feet to pin making it very difficult to score.  I've also been getting into the ready go's which make this game much more fun.
