Please explain: Golf ball hits pin, flies into outer space

  wow! i'm not alone! this happened to me the other day! not quite as bad tho. the ball hit square in the cup on the fly (i think thats what causes this) and the wgt system cant deal with that. my ball came out of the hole and bounces off the green for a short chip. crappy huh? shot should count as the rules say ball has to go in the hole, doesnt say a word bout staying in!  true, but funny. . .

  Did this by any chance happen on BPB #12? I ask because in a CC tournament there just last week-42 out for the approach-I punch a 64W, get the cup sound and in the middle of "Oh yeah!" I see the yardage marker moving. Quite a surreal moment as I watch the ball carom out of the cup to the rough 33 yards away!! 

  If I didn't know any better I'd think WGT ramped up the bizarre shots.  :-D

  Stonking replay, but tough on the player involved.

  I'm pretty sure WGT will reimburse him.

  Yes, they seem fair to me.  It took them about 10 minutes to respond to my email about this shot.  I directed them to the actual guy who got shafted.
